It’s the 14th day of Blogmas! Only 11 days until the big fat man comes down the chimney. I can not believe how fast the days are going by. While looking at Blogmas post ideas, I came across The Christmas Tag. I love going through tags, especially Christmas ones. I hope you enjoy!
What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
I adore the food at Christmas! It’s the one time of year where we have the whole shebang! Suffering, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, you name it, it’s on my plate. Also the desert, woow, we’ve always had trifle and then we have every cream possible.
What is your favourite Christmas movie/s?
Hmm, this is a tricky one as I don’t tend to watch movies during the Christmas season. I know a lot of people do to get them into the spirit of things. I love The Santa Clause trilogy, Tim Allen is amazing actor. I love any of the animated Christmas movies, like The Polar Express, Arthur Christmas and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Real tree or fake tree?
I would have to say fake Christmas Tree, growing up I’ve always had a fake one. I’ve never been interested in a Real Tree, as I just see it being too much work! Maybe I will change my mind in the future, as I think the other half wants a real one.
Giving presents or receiving them?
Even though I do find it hard getting the right present, I adore Christmas shopping. Yes it’s hard work, especially when it’s for difficult people! But it’s worth it to see their expression when they open their present up.
Do you open your presents Christmas morning or evening?
Morning! Growing up we have always opened them in the morning! It’s the first thing we do on Christmas Day. Of course, it feels like evening when we’ve actually opened them, as we’ve always had to wait until everyone is awake!
What tops your tree?
Growing up, it was always what me or my sisters had made at school. Be it a Christmas Angel or a Star, now we’re older it’s a gold Star. I also have a silver Star for my Christmas Tree in my room.
As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
Ooohh, I don’t actually think I had a crazy present as a kid. I normally had a present that I had to wait three Christmases for, but never anything too extravagant that it couldn’t be brought!
Handmade Christmas cards or bought?
I have always received Handmade cards from my Dad’s side of the family. They are all very crafty, I do love Handmade cards as a lot of work go into them. But I also love bought cards, as my Mum’s side of the family always buy me a cute and cheerful, sometimes even a funny card.
What’s your favourite Christmas food?
My favourite Christmas food, woow, I love all the different foods you have at Christmas! If I had to choose one it would probably be the turkey/chicken. I love my meat, we always get the perfect meat and the skin is just amazing. I would also say roast potatoes, especially Homemade ones!
Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
On Christmas Eve we always open one small present from under the tree. We’ve always done this, since the time I can remember. I don’t know what started it though. But it’s become our little tradition. Oh, also wrapping last minute presents, I’ve always helped my Dad to wrap my sister’s presents.
There we go guys! I hope you enjoyed The Christmas Tag, it was really fun answering these questions. I would love you to answer one of these questions in the comments! Everyone has a different take on Christmas.
