Planner Girls Collective // 2017 Bucket List

I’m pleased to say there will be a new weekly segment on An Ocean Glimmer. Along with other Bloggers, we will be chatting about a different topic every Monday. This is a recent group I’ve become a part of through FacebookPlanner Girls Collective was created by The Stationery Geekette aka Emma-Louise Smith.

I’m really excited by the prospects of this group, along with having the opportunity to meet some amazing blogs! The first topic for 2017 is 2016 Planner Overview/Aims for 2017. I thought this was perfect timing, as we are now into January and I should probably set out some goals for this year to make it a special year!

For me 2016 was a special year, I made a lot of special memories. You don’t realise how much you’ve achieved until you look back at your year, this is exactly what I done HERE. This year, there’s a lot of things I would love to see and do, so I thought I would sum these up. I will pop back to this post to make sure I’m on target to achieve these goals.

So without further ado;

1.Travel to Italy

The fights and hotel are all booked, it’s half paid for so I can not wait to travel to Italy! This will be the third time going abroad but this time will be extra special, as it’s only me and the partner going.

2.Open a Savings Account for a house

My parents have said I can stay with them for as long as I want, but with us moving up country this year and the partner coming with, I don’t want to be a burden on them. I really want to open a Savings Account to push us both to save for our own home.

3.Attend the BTCC Launch as Media

I loved attending Britcar Endurance last year as Media, so I’m on a mission to attend more events. With it being the start of the season, I really want to attend the season launch of BTCC. I’ve spoken to Donington Park, who seem up for this and ready to help me out.

4.Write 1,000 articles for The Checkered Flag

It’s amazing how far I’ve come with The Checkered Flag, I’ve been writing for them just over a year now and I’ve produced nearly 700 articles for them. If I continue writing strongly for them, I can see myself writing over 1,000 this year.

5.Interview a motorsports driver

This would be a dream come true! I did interview Will Palmer for a University module but that was over email. It’s nothing compared to a face-face interview. I’m hoping to attend a lot more motorsports events this year, so I will be on a mission to achieve this.

6.Meet Tom Chilton

I am really good at being at the right time and place when it comes to meeting drivers. Two years ago I met Max Chilton, the younger brother of Tom Chilton. With Tom participating in the BTCC this year, I would love to meet him!

7.Graduate from University

My biggest achievement of this year would be to graduate from University. I have loved every second of my three years and I will miss it! My mission will be to finish with a 2.1, currently I am on target for this.

Along with some personal goals for 2017, there are some things I would love to achieve with my blog. I can not believe An Ocean Glimmer will be two years old this year, my blog has turned into a massive passion. I’ve been doing really well recently and I would love to continue this success into 2017;

1.1,000 followers on Twitter

2.300 followers on Instagram

3.100 followers on An Ocean Glimmer

4.100 followers on Bloglovin’

5.Reach 5,000 views on An Ocean Glimmer

6.Improve my Photography

7.Collaborate with a well-known company

8.Attend blogger events

  1. I love reading what other people have as goals for the coming year! Your trip to Italy sounds wonderful (it is one of my favourite countries, and my partner’s family is from there) so I am majorly jealous! I also really love your enthusiasm about The Checkered Flag – it’s really refreshing to see such a different topic! Wishing you all the best for 2017! xoxo

    1. Thank you lovely! It will be my first holiday with the partner so I’m excited by it! I try to be enthusiastic about my hobbies, I am really proud of all my work with them. That’s sweet of you, I wish you all the best for 2017 too!
