August Favourites

Here we are, another month has gone passed, meaning a whole new list of favourites! I am really excited to share with you what I’ve been loving during August, as you all know I recently moved to Aylesbury and this month marked one whole month here. I have settled in really well and things are looking up for both me and Peter. I can not believe how quickly this year is going, it feels like yesterday that I was getting myself ready to move.

Enough chit chat, let’s get started on my August Favourites;

First up are these amazing Bath Bombs that I came across in Wilkinsons, I first noticed them while looking at their Fruit Collection. This is a massive Beauty range that includes products like Shower Gel, Body Butter, Shampoo, Hand Lotion and even the Bath Bombs. With the move to my Uncle’s, I now have a bath, which means fun with Bath Bombs, Peter has never had a bath so hasn’t had the opportunity to enjoy the amazing thing that is Bath Bombs.

Aylesbury doesn’t have a LUSH so these Bath Bombs will have to make do until I can venture into LUSH. For only £1 you can pick up one of these Bath Bombs, I know! Only £1, what a bargain. With this price in mind, we picked up one in each of the eight different scents, so far we’ve only used two, Blueberry & Grape and Rhubarb & Vanilla. Which let me tell you now were both amazing and very relaxing, they aren’t as amazing as the LUSH Bath Bombs but for the price, are perfect.

One film that I’ve wanted to watch this year since its release would be Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2! I fell in love with the first one, especially with Star Lord and Groot, who could not love Groot. I just fell in love with the movie from the first moment, I realised just how much I missed it. It was just like the first one, a lot of laughs and giggles, I was hooked for the whole film and when I saw the end credits, I was very excited to see there would be a Vol 3.

With moving to Aylesbury, it now means I am living with my Nan and Uncle, as well as my cousin and his little one only ten minutes away. I can’t wait to see him grow up, especially as his first birthday is only a couple of days away. This is one of the main reasons my parents wanted to move up North, to be closer to our family. Growing up it’s only been my immediate family but now, everyone is around an hour away, rather than five, but it has been weird not living with my parents.

If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know that this month I’ve been travelling to various of places to have interviews for an ‘adult job’. I would love to be working with a PR agency and this has been the roles I have been going for, currently, I haven’t had that much luck as I’m still looking but fingers crossed that I receive something soon! I would love to have something before Christmas, that would be lovely. Working for SportsDirect is nice because of the people but ideally, I don’t want to be working there forever.

Last but not least, I finally visited an IKEA! Peter and myself decided to take a trip into Milton Keynes to see what all the fuss is with IKEA. I fell in love with the place especially as there was a lot I wanted for a reasonable price, which is a very good thing and I am definitely going in there when we move to our own place. My new bed is from IKEA and I have fallen in love with that so most of our new furniture might come from there!

I was also able to go into Primark after so long, with now living in Aylesbury, Milton Keynes is our closest, which is disappointing as I lived in Primark while in Plymouth. I was super impressed with their Primark, I thought our store was big! It was very well laid out and I was falling in love with everything, with it all being so fresh I knew the store hadn’t been open for long. I was a little disappointed with their homeware items though! I felt like they would have more than Plymouth but actually, they didn’t.

I hope you have enjoyed this month’s favourites, I would love to know what you’ve enjoyed this month? Has anything special happened or have you finally picked up that beauty product you’ve wanted for ages? Let’s chat down in the comments!

  1. I didn’t realise you were based near to Milton Keynes as that isn’t far from me! The homeware bits youve picked up are lovely x
