Accessorize Love Lily Review

Today is a little different from what I had originally planned! Today is National Chocolate Cupcake Day meaning this post should have been a recipe for youu but unfortunately, I just haven’t had the time to bake some cakes. Meaning a different post on the agenda, today I am going to share with you Love Lily, a fragrance from Accessorize. When I received the email asking me if I wanted to review Love Lily, I jumped at the opportunity because I adore perfumes!

I only ever thought Accessorize sold bags and jewellery as their name implies, so I was actually quite surprised when I heard about Love Lily but at the same time, it made me quite excited to try the fragrance. Accessorize describes Love Lily on their website as sweet and vibrant, which I definitely agree with! This is very much a Spring/Summer fragrance, this may be the wrong time to have this type of fragrance as it doesn’t reflect this season.

When I was in school, I absolutely loved collecting fragrances shall we say, I had about three or four different ones at one time. Ones with pretty bottles were definitely there, just something about fragrances with a pretty bottle makes the fragrance even better! I actually miss having the perfume bottles on my desk, it always brought it to life. The bottle matches it absolutely beautiful, it’s such a simple design with a Lily pressed in the lid. It’s quite a heavy bottle, I even feel that the lid is just as heavy as the bottle.

It’s lovely to see a bottle match the fragrance, allowing it to go hand in hand with one another. Love Lily is very fruity, it’s a very good combination of Raspberry, Orange, Jasmine and Vanilla, these work soo well together to create a scent that isn’t too overpowering. Raspberry is actually a lovely scent, I think it has to be along the lines of Strawberry, which seems to make everything beautiful. I wouldn’t actually think to put these flavours together but surprisingly it works well.

It one of those fragrances that certain scents hit you at different times, with Raspberry hitting you first, then the zesty scent of Orange and then sweet Vanilla. I’m not normally a fan of the scent Orange, whenever the partner peels an Orange, it’s such a strong scent that I just hate it. But with Love Lily, all the scents seem to balance one another out. Another positive that I love about perfumes and you’ll notice this when I chat about Hand Creams, is how overpowering they are.

It’s horrible having an overpowering scent that shall we say gets stuck in your throat! You know like some of the body sprays you purchase, but with Love Lily it’s not too overpowering, making it perfect for everyday use. It adds a very good fruity smell to your day as well, meaning you can smell like Spring/Summer all day. Overall I am very happy with this fragrance it is me summed up massively, I’ve even had some lovely compliments from this fragrance.

I even love the price tag, for the 75ml bottle in Accessorize it’s £19 which I feel is reasonable for the very strong quality perfume. At the moment, it is currently out of stock online, I’m not sure if you can get it in store though but I would definitely recommend if you are going past your Accessorize to pop in.
