I’m sure it’s no surprise that I am a MASSIVE fan of The Body Shop, I am always sharing my thoughts on their products and I am always tweeting about them. Today, I will be sharing with you my thoughts on their latest release, the Vanilla Pumpkin range. This range was released at the end of September, seems fitting with it being Autumn as well as Halloween! Everyone was raving about it on Twitter, so I knew I had to get my hands on it, I also love when The Body Shop release themed ranges.
When I first saw it on Twitter, it wasn’t available in store, only online. I didn’t want to take the chance of buying it and not liking it! When I visited my Body Shop in Aylesbury, the store assistant was really kind and allowed me to smell the Body Butter, which instantly made me want it! First thoughts I wasn’t 100% sure, but after a little while, the scent did grow on me. She even said herself how she wasn’t sure on it but after a while, it grew on her. One of the main reasons I love The Body Shop is because of their Love Your Body Club.
This club has many perks, I won’t go into too much detail about what exactly as I explained the club in 5 Things I Love About The Body Shop. You should definitely check out that post if you want to know a little more about what the club is but I had received an email saying members could get a free gift… I am a sucker for free gifts, especially when it’s from one of your favourite stores! It was just my luck that this free gift was the Vanilla Pumpkin Body Butter and Shower Gel. I swear Body Shop read my mind! I was soo glad to receive this before I had planned to go in.
To receive the free gift was pretty simple, all you had to do was spend over £25 and be a Love Your Body Club member, great! I could definitely do that, especially as they had a 3 for £20 offer on for their Body Butters. That’s such a crazy price, one is £15 so to get 3 for £20 was such a bargain. The partner goes through these a lot, so I definitely had him in mind. To make it up to the £25, I bought the Hand Cream from the Vanilla Pumpkin range with that being £5 like all their other Hand Creams.
Vanilla and Pumpkin just seem to work so well together! I would have never thought to partner the two ingredients together but I am so glad The Body Shop has done it for me. When I first heard about Vanilla Pumpkin, I was definitely very excited but I didn’t want to have too high of an expectation after the disappointment I had with Almond, Milk and Honey. I have sensitive skin and to know this was created with me in mind was amazing but I just did not like the smell, it was way too overpowering! So I was immediately turned off.
For me, the one main thing that I look for with either a Body Butter or Hand Cream is will this leave my skin greasy after application? But I am very glad to say with Vanilla Pumpkin it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy, which is great as I’m always using my Hand Cream on the go so I can’t be waiting ten-fifteen minutes for my hands to go back to normal. You don’t need to use much either to get a good coverage, which means it should last longer! I’ve really enjoyed using the Hand Cream, it’s the perfect size for my handbag so this is currently where you can find it.
I am most happy that I picked up these three products from the range, I’ve used the Body Butter and Hand Cream daily, with using the Shower Gel for baths. In the collection you can also pick up a Shimmer Mist, I didn’t pick this up as I knew I wouldn’t use it, so why purchase it! I think I’m definitely going to pick up more of this collection, I’m not sure if this is only available until Halloween, with it being Pumpkin based. But I don’t want to wait to find out as next time I go in to purchase it, it might not be there. I think definitely a trip to The Body Shop is in order this payday!
The packaging adds to the products, of course, it’s not always all about the packaging but having nice packaging does make it stand out! I love how Autumnal it looks, it definitely fits very well for both of the ingredients. The Body Shop always seems to get it just right with their packaging and designs, it’s so basic but works really well. After trying this range, I am definitely excited for what they will be releasing for Christmas. Last year I was a little disappointed with their three ranges, yes they all sounded amazing but I really didn’t think much about them.
Fingers crossed there will be some more hauls from The Body Shop, especially if they are bringing out good Christmas ranges. For the moment though, you can still get your hands on the Vanilla Pumpkin range! The Body Butter is £15, Hand Cream £5, Shower Gel £5 and Shimmer Mist £12, unfortunately, it seems like you can get the Shimmer Mist online no more, but I would definitely recommend looking in your local store especially as the Body Butter is currently sold out. I know there are a few deals going on at the moment, so maybe you could save yourself some money on the range!
I hope you have enjoyed this post! I would definitely love to know your thoughts on this range, have you tried it yourself? Will you be picking it up before it disappears off the shelf? Let’s get chatting!
