February 2018 – National Crepe Day

This Friday is National Crepe Day, so I thought it would be nice to introduce you to The Works. Now if you follow me on Instagram, I’m positive this place isn’t new to you as I’m always sharing my date nights on there. When I heard that Friday 2 February was National Crepe Day, I knew I just had to speak about this place, I’ve mentioned it in a couple of my monthly favourites as well. I think me and Yasmine are a little addicted to The Works.

The Works is a fast-casual urban style restaurant located at the top of Market Square in Aylesbury, you are able to indulge yourself in their delicious savoury and sweet waffles and crepes that have tempting and tasty fillings. They also have a tasty range of sundaes that you question yourself whether or not you’ll actually eat it all. Currently, The Works only have restaurants in Aylesbury and High Wycombe but have the ambition to open outlets nationwide.

It wasn’t until I visited The Works, that I realised there was such a thing as savoury and sweet waffles and crepes, like how nice does chicken, bacon and cheese sound! They’re all soo strange but I definitely need to try them, our date nights are always in the evening though, after dinner. So having a savoury crepe is just not right, but a sweet one makes for the perfect dessert. They are very creative with their designs, making them look AMAZING!

They definitely put a smile on your face when they bring them to you. So far I’ve managed to try a range of their crepes, including Banoffee, Strawberry Cheesecake and Hot Apple & Blackberry Crumble. Mann, these are making me hungry, they sound and look amazing. I definitely feel soon I would have eaten the whole menu as I try and something different each time. There’s also a lot on their menu and a massive variety that will hopefully please everyone.

I’m also thinking of doing an more in-depth review! I would love to know your thoughts on this, from start to finish I’ll give you a little review. I definitely need to try something on their savoury menu, it’s a little weird thinking of chicken, bacon and cheese on a crepe, but I think it could actually work.

If you are ever in the area, I would definitely recommend visiting The Works, you definitely won’t be disappointed if you have a sweet tooth. I hope you have enjoyed this post! What’s your favourite dessert? Let me know in the comments!
