January Favourites

I don’t know about you, but I can’t believe how quickly January has passed! It did have it’s moments where it was going a little slow, but then it seemed to pick up. I hope you have all had a good start to the New Year, it did take me a little while to get back into the swings of my normal routine but after a couple of days, I was fine. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one struggling with the early morning wake up calls.

Today, I am sharing with you my January Favourites! I will admit now that I haven’t actually done very much this month so this post may be a little shorter than normal. I am hopeful that things will pick up during February though, I already have quite a few things planned. With struggling with money during January and the weather, I haven’t ventured outside that much.

Shall we get started with my January Favourites?

5 Year Anniversary – January marked mine and Yasmine’s 5 Year Anniversary together, unfortunately, we couldn’t do much to mark the occasion with us both struggling with money thanks to Christmas but also our strict budget with us saving for a mortgage. Time has definitely gone quick, we’ve made a lot of memories together and there’s definitely going to be a thousand more.

Bugle Horn Pub & Restaurant – For our 5 Year Anniversary celebration meal, we went to the Bugle Horn Pub & Restaurant, we’ve fallen in love with this restaurant since moving to Aylesbury! It reminds me a little of the Turtley Corn Mill, a restaurant close to Plymouth. The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly! It was nice to have our meal here, as well as spending some quality time together.

Blog Collaborations – I’ve been very fortunate this month to receive confirmation from a variety of brands for some exciting blog collaborations! I am very excited to share these with you, they’ll slowly be appearing on An Ocean Glimmer over the next few weeks so stay tuned. I forgot how many brands I reached out to on Twitter, so I had a lot of requests after the New Year.

10k Blog Views – I knew this was coming soon, I could just feel it! I reached 10k views on An Ocean Glimmer! I was jumping for joy when I found out, I’ve been wanting to achieve this goal for a little while now. I’m so happy and proud of myself, of everything I’ve achieved since launching my blog. During January, I also reached 300 blog followers, so a hello to you all!

Thank-you from the bottom of my heart, you don’t know how much it means to me.

There we go! There are my Favourites from January. Fingers are crossed that there will be more for February, it’s already looking like a promising month, I have Yasmine’s birthday at the beginning, we will definitely be celebrating that. Then I am planning on meeting Samantha from Always Believe in a Miracle, my blogging best friend. With these things already planned, I’m excited about February.
