LUSH Christmas Haul

For Blogmas 2017, I did a first impression post for LUSH Cosmetics, now I know what you are thinking! Gemma, you have only just tried LUSH!? Well, before moving to Aylesbury, I had no bath only a shower, but now I am lucky enough to be able to have a bath every weekend. I won’t explain too much here as you can read all about why in my impression post. Myself and Yasmine have now become addicted to LUSH bath bombs!

As you know, I went down to Plymouth with Yasmine to see in the New Year with her family and our friends. Meaning we couldn’t come back to Aylesbury without some LUSH treats. I was able to take advantage of their January sale, where they had their Christmas products on 50% off! Great right! Everyone went a bit crazy for this sale, I don’t really blame them as you’re saving yourself a lot.

I know it’s a little late now for a LUSH Christmas Haul, but seeing as I didn’t actually buy them until AFTER Christmas, I’ve only just finished using them! Now, shall we get started with this small LUSH Haul?

Golden Wonder – I’ve seen this bath bomb every Christmas and I just knew I had to get my hands on it! I’ve always wanted to know what’s in the inside as it’s quite a big bath bomb and LUSH always hide something special and colourful inside. When it touched the water, the bath bomb exploded with yellow and blue, which transformed the water green. Also inside was cute little stars, this was a nice surprise after the bath bomb dissolved.

This is a cocktail of zesty cognac and lime oils while sweet orange oil refreshes your senses. I’m not normally a fan of orange, but for some reason, I fell in love with Golden Wonder. The orange oil is not overpowering and it seems like it opens your senses, this delicious citrusy concoction guaranteed to perk up anyone suffering from the winter blues

Snow Fairy – I’ve heard a lot of good things about Snow Fairy, so when I saw this was the last one I just HAD to pick it up! Two days previously, I ventured into LUSH for a browse and there were loads. The day of buying these though, there were so many other people picking them up, this was the last one. I am soo glad I did though as it made for such a nice bath. The colours were vibrant and it released a strong, sweet and very musky aroma.

Snow Fairy always come back for their Christmas range and there’s no surprise really, what I loved is how the aroma sticks around the house for quite a few hours later. A good reminder for this great bath bomb, once it touched the water immediately began to fizz, sending out waves of pastel-pink and white colour. This bath bomb left my skin feeling really smooth, the fragrance and the colour of the water very relaxing.

Butterbear – This is bar far one of the cutest bath bombs LUSH sell, like who would say no to this little critter! Butterbear is adorable and not just because he’s shaped as a bear, he has a generous helping of cocoa butter. This gives you one of the softest bear hug imaginable. It’s great for nourishing and protecting your skin, no matter how long you bathe for.

The comforting aroma from this bear will linger softly on your skin long after you leave the tub. Just like his exterior, there’s no colour once he starts dissolving in the water, he starts turning the bath cloudy and this is where the cocoa butter fragrance is released. I have always been a massive fan of cocoa butter, so I was very excited to try Butterbear. He definitely lives up to expectations.

I do feel that each time I visit Plymouth, I’ll be popping into LUSH. I love being able to smell them before buying, I think my closest is Milton Keynes, which is still half an hour away. I would buy online, but the delivery charges are a little expensive unless I save up and buy bath bombs in bulk.

I hope you have enjoyed this post! What’s your favourite product from the Christmas range by LUSH? Let me know in the comments.

  1. I know what you mean when you talk about needing to smell products before you buy them, if I ever shop at Lush that I have to do so in store and not online because it would be a total nightmare to shell out my hard earned pennies on some pretty soaps if they turn up and I think they smell disgusting! I’ve heard such wonderful things about Snow Fairy as a scent, the sweet yet musky aroma sounds right up my street! The nourishing Butterbear sounds wonderful, although he is so cute that I might feel bad about putting him in the bath haha!

    1. Most definitely, bad smelling products turn me off them soo much! It’s also amazing to pick them up and smell them. Me too, I would love to try the other products in the range, like the shower gel. He was adorable and yes, agree completely! It was soo bad to do.
