Can you believe that it’s already the first week of June? Time seems to be going very quickly at the moment, I even keep forgetting what day it is! I think that’s what happens when you keep yourself busy, I don’t know about you but I love keeping myself busy and during the Summer you’re busy every single weekend. Another thing that comes with a new month is setting yourself some new Goals or you can even continue your old ones if you’ve yet to achieve them!
Today I will be reflecting on the Goals I set myself for May and creating some new ones for June. I always try to set Goals that reflect on what I plan to do during the month as well as little Goals to achieve bigger Goals. Some things you want to achieve in life don’t happen overnight! May has definitely been a great month and things are starting to pick up, there’s been a range of things I have loved over the course of the month. You can learn about all of those here.
Before I set myself some new Goals for June, let’s reflect on my May Goals!
Read 2 Books – Done! This month, I read SHINE, The Development and Vampire Diaries. Not bad going for Get Caught Reading Month, I’m quite pleased with this, especially with it being a busy month.
Continue to be Ahead – Done! I am still at least two weeks ahead, meaning I’m able to enjoy the upcoming week, rather than having to worry about blogging. Of course, I can’t do every post as they happen a certain time, it’s still good to be this far ahead.
Consistently go Bed Early – I wouldn’t say I consistently went to bed early… I have done much better this month to fall asleep earlier than I have previously. I have definitely been less grumpy this month, thanks to the extra hours in bed.
Save £500 for Mortgage Fund – Smashed! I saved a total of £1,000 for our mortgage fund which is very exciting. Unfortunately, we’re still a long way to go but baby steps and we will get there.
Reduce Weekly Food Bill – Done! As I mentioned last month, I did my very first Aldi shop, saving myself an impressive £50! For the whole of May, I have done my shopping in Aldi, meaning the money I’ve saved has gone into our mortgage fund to boost that.
Better Understand SEO – I haven’t had the opportunity to look into SEO just yet! Life has gotten in the way and this has taken a step back. If you have any helpful tips or advice, please let me know in the comments.
Spring Clean on my Phone – Done! My phone is officially clean and there’s nothing there! That might just be because I am now the owner of a Samsung Galaxy S9. I found out recently I could upgrade so that’s exactly what I did.
Let’s get to my June Goals!
Read 2 Books – This is the one Goal that I think will be on every Monthly Goals, I really want to achieve my 2018 Goodreads Challenge and I feel with having this reminder, I will achieve it. I’ve currently read eight books, according to Goodreads, I am two books ahead of schedule.
Better Understand SEO – As mentioned above, I wasn’t able to look into SEO during May, so I’m going to bring this Goal into June and hopefully have the time to figure it out. Hopefully, this is something I can wrap my head around to help with my blog.
Visit Plymouth – I haven’t visited Plymouth since New Year’s! Feels like forever away, we’ve booked our holiday and have everything crossed that we can go home end of this month. It will also be nice to have a break from work and see all of our friends.
Schedule Content on Facebook – Up until recently, I haven’t been sharing that much on my Facebook but after seeing an increase on Twitter and Instagram, I’m going to start sharing more content on Facebook. With the help of Buffer, I’m sure I’ll be fine.
Date Night – With saving for a mortgage, it’s hard to live a little. I did mention to Yasmine that every other month we should go out and enjoy a meal together. This month is the one, so hopefully, unless anything gets in the way, I would love to enjoy a night together or even travel somewhere different.
Be More Active – I didn’t want to limit this Goal to just Blogger Groups, I wanted to also be more active on my social media channels. I think with scheduling content on Buffer this will help but also sharing day to day activities, especially with a busy month coming up!
I hope you have enjoyed this post! What is the one thing you would love to achieve this month? Let me know in the comment!
