Where on earth did June go!? When the time comes to write my Monthly Favourites, it always feels like yesterday that I was writing the previous month. June has always been a great month, it’s that time of year when your feet don’t seem to touch the floor there always seems to be something going on. Looking back, every weekend I have been out and about, which is a great problem to have, especially after so long of not being able to do anything.
I’m really excited to share my Favourites with you but with the power of social media, I’m sure you’ve already seen most of what I’m going to share with you.
Missed my May Favourites? Head over here to see what I was loving
during the month.
Shall we get started with my June Favourites?
MG Live | Ever since I have been a happy owner of an MG ZR, I have always wanted to go to MG Live. Finally, 2018 was the year I was able to attend! I definitely was not disappointed, there was a good range of MGs on display as well as great racing out on the track. I also met a couple of people who I’ve been speaking to online, it’s great to put a face to a name. Thankfully the weather was gorgeous, I think I was applying suncream every second of the day.
Silverstone 500 ft. Supercar Sunday | Yup, another Silverstone event! I feel like I’ve been at Silverstone every weekend since FIA World Rallycross. Oh wait, I have! This time around it was Silverstone 500 ft. Supercar Sunday also known as British GT Championship. It was a great day to be at Silverstone, especially watching a different motorsports championship. I also had the opportunity to meet up again with my photographer friends, it’s always nice to meet up with them.
MGs in the Park | There are definitely only a couple of words to sum up my month of June! That’s right, I’m talking about MG, I attended MGs in the Park, my second car show of the month, this one was a little different. Organised by the Oxfordshire MG Owners’ Club, we were treated to cars and animals with the location being Cotswold Wildlife Park. Yasmine and I met our MG friend so it was good to catch up, even with us seeing one another at MG Live.
I love these type of meets as it’s the perfect opportunity to meet up with people you’ve spoken to online. Since moving to Aylesbury, I keep seeing the same MG driving through and even parking next to, I was able to finally meet the owner and have a good chin wag. It’s great to see how many people live around me but also those that travel for a celebration. I’m really glad that I’m able to attend these meets! I have missed these events.

Fade Out | This month I have fallen in love with a new product, a day and night cream from Fade Out. Both creams smell amazing! If it wasn’t for one saying day and another night, then I would mistake both for the same, as they look exactly the same. Also the smell, oh my I can’t place what the scent is but it is amazing.
I have enjoyed using these over the course of June and will definitely continue to use. My skin has started to look brighter in appearance as well as feeling softer, I don’t want to speak too much about my experience here as I’ll be posting a review of both products soon on An Ocean Glimmer. Keep an eye out for that!
I hope you have enjoyed this Favourites post! It’s always crazy how much you do over a course of a month. I love looking at my Instagram to help me reflect on the previous month. June has definitely been a good month, July wow, I can’t even believe I’m saying this but it’s set to be an even better month. There are more car shows and I will be back at Silverstone again for the best event on the calendar, the British Grand Prix!
