Monthly Favourites // July 2018

I’m not sure about you, but July has been an amazing month! I knew it was going to be an exciting and busy month, this month always seems to go fast. I swear every weekend I was doing something if you follow me on my social media channels, I’m sure you already know what I’m speaking about! I love sharing my Favourites each month as it’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on the past month.

Missed my June Favourites? Head over here to see what I was loving
during the month.

Shall we get started with my July Favourites?

Formula 1 British Grand Prix | I always look forward to July each year because it is the month of the British Grand Prix! I have been a massive fan of Formula 1 for as long as I can remember and still till this day I can’t believe I’m apart of this event. I won’t go into too much detail here, but I am a Race Maker, a volunteer for Silverstone. The reason for me attending, you can find out more about the volunteer program here.

The Works | Since moving to Aylesbury, over a year ago (Doesn’t time go fast!) I have been in love with The Works! Yasmine and I took a trip here to have a dessert because why not. I have always tried going for something different, I think I’ve nearly gone through the whole menu of what I want to try. There are still a couple more, I even shared my love for The Works here when I celebrated National Crepe Day.

B2B Marketing Ignite | Since joining 4CM I have learnt a lot about the Marketing and PR sector, to this day I am still learning! I was given the opportunity to attend the B2B Marketing Event called Ignite 2018 where a variety of different companies hosted conferences and introduced you to them. This was a great day, especially as it was a day trip to London. I am very willing to learn and increase my knowledge for this job.

Locked in a Room | One thing I love about 4CM is how much of a family we are, the office is small and we all get on really well. This provides opportunities for Company Days, July marked our half-year meeting where the morning is about the business and the goals for the second half of the year and then the afternoon is about team building. I have wanted to complete a Locked in a Room adventure for so long and I’m soo glad Sarah chose this for us! It was a great activity and taught us a lot of skills while having a lot of fun.

Silverstone Classics | Another positive to now living in Aylesbury, Silverstone is on my doorstep, meaning I am able to attend more events as a Race Maker. I have never been able to attend Silverstone Classics but this year, I am very happy I did! It was a great weekend with great people, as usual, I am very happy to have had the opportunity to meet some of my favourite drivers. It’s very impressive how big this weekend was and the number of different races, something very different to Formula 1.

I hope you have enjoyed this Favourites post! It’s always crazy how much you do over a course of a month. I love looking at my Instagram to help me reflect on the previous month. July has definitely been a good month, August is going to be much quieter but after being busy for so long, this is going to be great! Also, a month won’t be complete without going to Silverstone for a weekend.

What’s been your favourite thing you’ve done in July?

  1. Hey Gemma, lovely post. I always thought of ‘The Works’ as you know.. that store where you can get pretty much everything under the sun (mainly craft supplies hell yeah). I love how your favourites are not materialistic, having experiences and memories is so important!
