Kathleen Natural Tranquil Fields Review

I’m always interested in trying new products, as long as it features my favourite scents, I will give it a go. An email recently dropped in my inbox from Kathleen Natural introducing their Mini Bubble Bath and Shower Gel with a request to review a collection of my choice. There are three different moods to choose from; Citrus Cheer, Tranquil Fields and Sensual Rose.

Kathleen has released mini size versions of their luxurious, nourishing, delicate body care collection including Roll-on Fragrance Oil and Mini Bubble Bath and Shower Gel. Each collection is scented with three blended, pure essential oils – a top note, heart note and base note – to cover every mood. Of course, a travel size is perfect for on the move.

I chose Tranquil Fields because not only do I love Lavender and Vanilla scents, I wanted something to lift my mood and prepare me for the cold and horrible weather this Winter.

The bubble bath/shower gel:

For me, I love a good bath, there’s nothing better than after a long day relaxing in the bath. Of course, Lavender and Vanilla are two of the perfect scents for a relaxing bath! That’s why I chose this combination of scents. The first time I used this Mini Bubble Bath and Shower Gel, it didn’t exactly turn the water as bubbly as I would have liked! That might be because I didn’t read the instructions!

I would definitely recommend pouring 2-3 capfuls under running water while stirring with hands, instead of adding once the bath is full. Once added, it transforms into a hand-drawn lather that cleanses, hydrates, and balances the skin. The smell was amazing, I nearly went to sleep it was that relaxing! As the name of the product suggests, you can also use as a shower gel by applying a small amount on a sponge, massage into a lather, and rinse clean.

I have only used in the bath at the moment, but I’m sure it would work just as well in the shower. It left my skin feeling so soft and smooth, for me, this is always a hit with a product. The bathroom was left smelling amazing! I definitely did not want to get out, of course, I had to when the water started getting cold. The Lavender and Vanilla work really well together and left me feeling refreshing.

This product comes in a 150 ml plastic bottle.

The science bit:

  • The Lavender Essential Oil top note is one of the most calming herbal oils and benefits the mind and body by reducing anxiety and emotional stresses. Improving sleep and brain functions, relieving pain and helping to heal burns and wounds.
  • Frankincense is the heart note. Its sweet and woody fragrance is often used to promote relaxation, relieve chronic stress and anxiety, and reduce pain. It can build immunity, reduce inflammation, heal age spots, and help relax and calm the mind.
  • The base note is Vanilla, one of the most relaxing aromas. Vanilla can be used as a sedative and body oil because of its properties as an antioxidant and antidepressant. Scientists found the smell of vanilla eases breathing problems and sleep apnea in premature infants.

Is there anything else to know?

The products are available to buy individually from the website, either £10 for 50ml or £18 for 150ml. The three different moods can be brought as a three set for £28. Although this is usually way beyond my price range for beauty products, the quality and packaging are perfect. I do love that they’re vegan-friendly, the products are 100% natural and suitable for sensitive skin.

  1. Lavender and vanilla sounds like SUCH a perfect combination! I used to hate lavender but appreciate it so much more now that I’ve matured. I think vanilla is such a brilliant creamy base to most other scents, too. These sounds like such gorgeous products but also like you, are slightly out of my price range personally! Maybe if I get rich, haha! Brill post 🙂

  2. I hadn’t heard of this brand before, but the product sounds perfect for a relaxing bath. I can imagine it was hard not to fall asleep with the smells and how relaxing it must have been! I’m personally not the biggest fan of baths, I perfer a shower so it’s great that it could be used for both. I think this would be a perfect Christmas present for my sister 🙂 thanks for sharing!
