12 Days of Blogmas #1 // Introduction

Happy December!

Can you believe December is here? I have been waiting for this month for what seems like forever! I am so excited about the upcoming month, I have a lot of things planned to help me get into the festive spirit and its Blogmas time as a blogger. If you’ve been with me here on An Ocean Glimmer for the past two years, you’ll know I’ve blogged every single day on the lead up to Christmas. I’m doing things a little different for 2018, last year I really struggled with ideas for the 24 days.

I’m doing 12 Days of Blogmas!

The countdown is on for Christmas 2018 and I’m so excited for you to be joining me. I’m still getting to know the area around me, after a quick search I’ve found a Christmas Carnival at Waddesdon Manor and Oxford Christmas Market. I’m also picking up a couple of new traditions such as Elf on a Shelf! This is going to be good, I’m intrigued to see what we can come up with.

Throughout this month, I’ll be sharing my normal monthly posts such as my Favourites and Goals but also sharing Christmas and Winter themed posts. I don’t want to bombard you too much with festive posts, but we cannot speak about the festive season. As it’s the first of December, I’m getting into the swing of things by decorating the house and starting the Christmas playlist.

It’s the start of Elf on a Shelf and opening the first door on your Advent Calendar! I’m going to try and share everything festive on my Instagram, so please follow me there to keep up to date. That’s all for today’s post, 12 Days of Blogmas has officially kicked off! My next post will be going live Monday 3rd December so stay tuned and I hope you enjoy this year.

It’s definitely the perfect time to start getting festive, what
are you looking forward to this Christmas?

  1. Loving this! Happy blogmas! I think 12 days of blogmas is a great idea, as you can choose to write awesome high quality 12 blog posts in case you run out of ideas to last 24! I’m contemplating doing this myself..not sure yet though! I love advent calendars – I’ve yet to receive my tea advent calendar! I’m already late haha. Good luck on blogmas Gemma! xx

    1. Thank youu Geraldine. It’s good idea, I wouldn’t be able to successful complete Blogmas if it was 24 days. I haven’t been planning months in advance like some people. It could be a good idea! Oh no! That’s not good, you’ll be opening a couple then when it arrives

  2. Best of luck with Blogmas, Gemma! It’s great that you’ve adapted it to suit you too and aren’t committing to 24 days just for the sake of it. I’m sure all your content will be super original and well thought out because of that 🙂 Looking forward to reading your posts! xxx

  3. It’s great that you’re participating in Blogmas! It’s always respectable seeing bloggers putting together 12 posts within such a short amount of time! Looking forward to reading more of your Blogmas series :)!
