Current Netflix Top Picks // April 2019

Netflix has been killing it recently! They have some amazing programmes and movies you should definitely watch. I pretty much watch something day in, day out on Netflix. I have been truly addicted to some, weekends are great as I pretty much watch a whole season in one sitting. Before you realise there are no more episodes and you’re waiting five months for the next season.

The last time I shared my Favourite Netflix Series was back in December 2017! A lot has happened and changed since then, now is a perfect time to share my Current Netflix Top Picks. I’m really excited to share these with you today, please let me know down in the comments if you’ve watched any of these yourself. They’re all pretty different from one another, I love the diversity of programmes.

Moving from Winter to Spring is probably the wrong time of year, it’s great watching Netflix during the colder months. It’s lovely sitting on the sofa, with a blanket, maybe even cuddling up with your loved one and watching a movie on Netflix, or even binge-watching one of their many series. Now it’s starting to warm up, I will be watching less so hopefully nothing much good and exciting comes out!

Right, shall we begin!?

The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann | When I heard about this documentary, I was very intrigued. I can remember when Madeleine went missing so to watch a series about it, I was very happy. It’s a crazy story and the level of detail is brilliant, I have yet to finish the series but I have heard that people’s opinions have changed after watching. I definitely recommend this to all, I need to find the time to get back in watching.

The Umbrella Academy | Oh my, The Umbrella Academy is AMAZING! I love how Netflix introduces you to different genres and even Graphic Novels. I was addicted to this programme and watched every episode in Season 1 within one day. I am soo excited for Season 2, I cannot wait for it to be back. Also, it’s opened up my love for comic books as I need to purchase the Graphic Novels.

The Order | Supernatural is by far my favourite genre! Anything that includes Zombies, Vampires, Werewolves, this is one of the main reasons I fell in love with The Order. It was a little strange at first but I pushed through and now I’m loving it! I swear the episodes are so long, I’m only half way through the season. You know when something is good when only having a couple of weeks, it’s confirmed for a second season.

Dynasty | The last show I have been loving recently has been Dynasty, I was addicted to the first season and I’m soo glad there was a second season. Each episode is getting better and better. It’s so good I’m always disappointed when I have to wait a whole week for the next episode. I love all the characters and the story is brilliant, there’s never a dull moment!

I hope you have enjoyed this! What’s your favourite Netflix programme?

  1. I loved the series about Madeline but I still cannot make up my mind who is innocent and who is guilty! Parents definitely still had something to do with it though in my opinion!
I’m currently loving rewatching Pretty Little Liars as I haven’t watched it since 2014! Xx

  2. I watched the disappearance of Madeline McCann. All I can say on that is, I hope that one day we find out what really happened to her. I haven’t yet watched the umbrella academy but it’s on my list. I haven’t heard of the others you mentioned, so I will check them out! I recently finished the second series of The OA, loved it! If you haven’t watched it I recommend! I also really liked Afterlife as well.

  3. I need to do a post like this since I’m adoring Netflix lately! Haha! I couldn’t finish watching the Madeline McCann documentary because it just frustrated me too much. I really need to watch Umbrella Academy since there’s an actor I like it (Tom Hopper) xD
