It’s great to have a Goal in mind, not just a daily or weekly one but yearly as well. I love creating Goals, I feel so inspired and it’s a great way to continue achieving. Back in January, I shared with you my 2019 Personal Goals, here I outlined exactly what I wanted to achieve over the course of the year. Now we’re nearly in May, it’s the perfect time to reflect on my Personal Goals and provide an update on progress.
I know I share my Monthly Goals but this doesn’t show the overall year story. When I’m setting my Monthly Goals, I try and keep my 2019 Goals in mind. It can be hard achieving your Goals, especially if it’s one you want to achieve in one year. Your Goals can be a lot easier to achieve if you think about them monthly. If you don’t create Monthly Goals, I would recommend starting now.
Shall we begin with the update on my 2019 Personal Goals?
Own House / Move Out | We’re doing pretty well on the saving front! Myself and Yasmine did visit a mortgage advisor to know exactly how much we require to save and the type of property we could purchase. It was a great meeting and we felt much better afterwards, it’s great to speak to someone and have them explain everything. We’ve continued putting regular money into each of our Help to Buy ISA, they are both looking very healthy for our mortgage fund.
New Car | I’ve been pretty open here about the problems I had with my MG ZR, if you read my January Favourites you’ll know all about this so I won’t go into detail here. Instead what I will say is that I am still very much in love with my MG 3! I wasted no time in signing that dotted line after test driving the car. It was back in February when I finally got my hands on her. Nearly three months on, everything is going great, I even took her to her first Pride of Longbridge!
Promotion / Grow with 4CM | In March, I received some great news. I was promoted from Account Executive to Senior Account Executive! There have been a couple of ups and downs but I’ve pushed myself through them. I know this year would be the year to achieve greatness with them. I cannot wait for my future with them especially as I continue to grow and widen my knowledge.
Read 20 Books | Unfortunately, I haven’t been doing so well with my Goodreads 2019 Challenge. I set myself the Goal of reading 20 books in 2019, so far I have read none. We’re only in April, hopefully I can get cracking from now and still achieve this Goal. I have added my name to a couple of upcoming Book Blog Tours, I have missed participating in these. There will be one happening this week and another next month, let’s hope this will help me achieve 20 books!
Volunteer with Scouts | Volunteering is such a worthy cause, I love keeping myself busy. Since moving to Aylesbury, I have missed volunteering. It gets you out of the house and gives you something to do. That’s why I’m glad I’m now a Section Assistant for a local Scout Cub Pack. We’ve already gone on so many adventures and there are still many to come. Let’s see where this takes us in 2019.
New Hobbies | I suppose this has been kinda achieved, as I mentioned in January, this Goal goes hand in hand with volunteering with Scouts. It’s getting me out and about, not only that, but doing things I have never done before. I am interested in another new hobbie, what is still the question. I just need to start doing other things and start getting out more, which leads on to my next Goal.
Spend More Time Offline | Spending more time offline is a lot harder than you would think. We rely so much on technology, it’s all around us from our mobile phones to laptops and television. Over the last month, I think I have spent more time away from technology than since January this year. I have been visiting Silverstone, with friends at car shows and just exploring the outdoors. I need to do more though, especially with the weather improving.
There we go! That was an update on my 2019 Personal Goals. I’m glad I’ve done this update, now I’m able to evaluate what I’ve achieved and what’s left to achieve. I didn’t want to get to the end of 2019 and find out there’s so much I haven’t achieved. This way, I can still improve and continue pushing myself to achieve. I will also be doing this soon with my 2019 Blogging Goals, stay tune for that update.
Thank-you for reading! How are your Goals going for 2019?
