Monthly Goals // July 2019

Goodbye June, Hello July!

I hope you’ve had a lovely start to July. As it’s the beginning of a new month, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the Goals I set myself at the beginning of June. Then create new Goals for July, I’m really excited about the upcoming month. I already have loads planned! I don’t think I’m home for one single weekend, it’s going to be a long but fun month.

If you want to see what I got up to in June, I have shared my adventures in my Monthly Favourites // June 2019 here. It’s great to review and reflect each month, sometimes you even forget what you’ve done.

Before I set myself some new Goals for July, let’s reflect on my June Goals!

Read 2 Books | Tick and tick! I was able to read a total of two books this month, I’m back in the game and hopefully can reach my 2019 Goodreads Reading Challenge. I read Discoucia and Gemenicia by Nicholas Lovelock, on the blog book tour hosted by Faye Rogers over at Authoright. I have my fingers crossed for July as I have a couple of road trips lined up, the perfect time to read.

Visit the Gym Twice a Week | Big tick here! I have visited the Gym a total of three times a week, I am VERY proud of myself. I have everything crossed that I can continue this routine and hopefully, in the end, reach my Goal. I’m also feeling much better about myself, I come out feeling refreshed and raring to go. I definitely don’t see going to the Gym as a chore.

Plan Summer Content | Unfortunately, I have got as far as mid-July. I have been super busy in June and I’ve had a hard time finding the time to just write June posts! There have been some ups and downs on the past month, with my priority being on the current posts. I need to plan out these posts as currently, I have no idea what I’m writing about!

Post to Instagram More | I am about the same with posting to Instagram this month. It’s not as many as I would like but I have done well! Even though I’ve done a lot, unfortunately, I didn’t post that much. I really want to update my Instagram game, I’m going to push my hardest in July!

Have One Date Night | Yup, tick! We recently visited Giraffe for an end of month treat, it was a lovely evening and the food was gorgeous, I can’t believe I’ve never been to Giraffe before! I’m sure there will be more times in the future if you like Mexican food I definitely recommend. There was way too much on the menu and I could not choose.

Let’s get to my July Goals!

Read 2 Books | Beautiful, let’s keep the good reading going. I’m still well on my way to reaching my 2019 Goodreads Reading Challenge. I would love to read at least two books, I could see myself reading more as I am travelling a lot this month which means perfect time for reading.

Continue Visting the Gym | As said above, I have had a great first month of visiting the Gym, I need to continue this over the next couple of months. Even if I am super busy! Hopefully, I can continue my motivation and reach my end Goal of losing weight. I am already doing pretty with this.

Plan Summer Content | I think this coming weekend, I am going to plan out the next couple of weeks, even if I don’t write them all! As long as I’ve got the ideas, things will move along nicely. Summer is always a good time for ideas, it’s just finding the time to write them! If you have any topics you would love to read on An Ocean Glimmer, please let me know in the comments.

Post to Instagram More | With more adventures, it should mean more posts on Instagram, right? I’m excited for the upcoming month and there are a lot of places I’ll be exploring! I’ll be hoping to share these all with you, I just have to remember to post them. What I might do, is start scheduling them, that would be easier and hopefully, won’t forget!

Attend British Grand Prix | Now, last but no means least the 2019 British Grand Prix! I cannot wait to visit Silverstone for the best racing on the calendar, Formula 1. I’m very excited and hopefully can create more memories there, also I found out I’ll be on the pit walk on Thursday! Opening a whole host of memories to capture.

Thank-you for reading. What is the one thing you would love to
achieve this month? Let me know in the comment!

Also, make sure to follow me on my blog (in the sidebar) and don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’FacebookInstagram and Twitter.

Love Gemma x

  2. Well done for sticking with the gym! It’s hard to stay motivated, especially with it being so hot at the moment. These are really great goals. I’m also trying to post to Instagram more and I’m hoping getting out and about more with the weather being so nice will give me lots of Instagram content!
