The Blogger Tag // Get to know me

I do apologise for the mini-blogging break, again… things have been semi hectic! As I am writing this I am only just recovering from an amazing weekend at Silverstone for the 2019 Formula 1 British Grand Prix. Check out my Instagram for daily photos of my adventures. I have been thinking for a little while about introducing more motorsports orientated posts, if you would be interested in an in-depth post about Silverstone, please let me know down in the comments!

Now though, let’s start today with The Blogger Tag. I love completing these types of posts, I love being nosy and it’s a great way to get to know other people! Created by Abbie over at Abbie Chic the aim of the tag is to get to know other bloggers, each question definitely allows that, also who doesn’t love getting to know other people. I always try to be pretty open about my life, rather than creating someone who I’m not. If you don’t like me for who I am, then I don’t want to know you!

Grab a cup of coffee and some snacks as I have answered the below questions from Abbie, it might just take a little while! I have also tagged some fellow bloggers to join in and answer the same questions on their blog.

Here are my answers…

Question 1: How tall are you?
5 ft 7″. I’ve always been one of the tallest until now!

Question 2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?
Hmm, no I don’t! I think some people might say otherwise, but nothing comes to mind when you mention hidden talent. I wish I did have a cool hidden talent though.

Question 3: What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve?
Ugh, there’s so much that I can think of right now but I think the main one would be the emails I receive that have no relation to An Ocean Glimmer! It’s really not that hard to do your research before emailing. I will only work with brands that show a genuine interest in my blog.

Question 4: What’s your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?
People not being polite, ie manners. A simple please and thank-you is really not that hard.

Question 5: What’s your favourite song?
This is a toughie! I mainly love anything that’s within the charts, my favourite changes as much as the weather. I am enjoying Heaven from Avicii at the moment.

Question 6: What’s your favourite social media website?
My favourite would have to be Instagram, I always believe that a picture says a thousand words. I also love being creative and doing something different. Even if I do complain at how hard it is to receive a true following!

Question 7: What’s your favourite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?
It’s hard to choose just one, it depends on my mood and of course weather! But you can never say no to escaping to a different world with a good book. That must be why I hardly read now because I have no free time.

Question 8: What’s your favourite junk food?
Favourite junk food? Hmm, what about anything snack wise for example cakes, crips and biscuits those are perfect also good for nights in with the partner!

Question 9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
I do, I have a fun-loving Cocker Spaniel called Biscuit, he’s as mad as anything but I love him just the way he is. It has been weird living away from home as it’s too quiet in the house.

Question 10: What are your number one favourite nonfiction and fiction books?
I don’t really have any favourites when it comes to non-fiction unless it’s a biography from a motorsports driver. Fiction, on the other hand, I could be here all day! I love anything graphic novel wise from DC Comics or Marvel Comics. I am really enjoying The Umbrella Academy at the moment.

Question 11: What’s your favourite beauty product or tool?
You can probably tell but I’m not really into beauty! Unlike the people around me, I much prefer nicely scented hand creams. I suppose that could count.

Question 12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
I swear being embarrassed is a daily occurrence to me. I always do or say something that makes me embarrassed, oops.

Question 13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Hmm, would I be British if I didn’t say tea! Of course, it has to be English Tea. I love the taste as it’s just simple yet beautiful.

Question 14: What’s your favourite movie?
I have so many favourites when it comes to movies, it depends on the genre! Hmm let’s say the Fast and Furious series, you can not say no to beautiful cars that sound amazing.

Question 15: What was your favourite lesson in school and why?
I never really had a favourite lesson in school. It all came down to what we were learning and the teacher if I’m really honest!

Question 16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I would definitely move back home in a heartbeat! Home for me is Devon, more precisely Plymouth, I still miss it to this day. I think when we’re retired we’ll definitely move back.

Question 17: PC or Mac?
PC only as I’ve been brought up on Microsoft. But saying that since starting at 4CM I have been in the world of Apple Mac… I’m still not 100% sure on them though.

Question 18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse? (or kind gesture from a friend)
That would be from my partner. She is always doing lovely things for me, even if it’s just a little thing! Those moments always go along way, like the time she sent flowers to the office.

Question 19: Favourite celebrity?
Of course, it would have to be Daniel Ricciardo!

Question 20: What blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?
I don’t think there are any bloggers I wish I was friends with as I’m already friends with them all!

Question 21: Who is your biggest inspiration?
I don’t necessarily have one person for inspiration, I think it comes down to any female currently working in the motorsports industry. It just goes to show that it is possible!

Question 22: What is your favourite blog to read?
I can’t pick just one as they are all so good. I have discovered so many different bloggers and genres from becoming a blogger. I do love discovering new ones, it’s always great to see what you have in common with someone else!

Question 23: What is your favourite high street shop?
Hmm, pretty much anywhere that sells graphic novels to allow me to escape the normal world. I love a good local graphic novel shop.

Question 24: Are you in education or do you work?
I work. I have been working since leaving school, my first job was a retail assistant for SportsDirect now I’m an Account Executive for a PR and Marketing company. I’m still only starting out so I’m very excited to see what the future brings.

Question 25: One thing you are proud of?
There are definitely so many things that I’m proud of, it’s hard to pick just one! I think I would have to say An Ocean Glimmer. Looking back at my journey since starting my blog, there have been some amazing moments from the different collaborations to meeting some amazing bloggers.
