Monthly Favourites // December 2019

Goodbye December! Hello January!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Can you believe January is here? I still cannot believe where 2019 went. I wish you all the best for 2020. I have everything crossed for a great start to the year. I don’t have so much planned, but it’s nice to have a quiet one once in a while! It’s time to reflect on the previous month, I love doing this by sharing my Monthly Favourites with you!

It’s time to reflect on what happened in December.

MGCC 635 Register Christmas Meal | December kicked off with a visit to the home of the MG Car Club, Kimber House for the annual AGM Meeting for MGCC 635 Register. This was my second time visiting and still as special as the first! I love reflecting on how this time last year, I wasn’t even apart of the MGCC 635 Register. Now I’ve met some new faces and reconnected with old.

Of course, we couldn’t meet up without having a Christmas Meal. It was an amazing evening and I was able to just talk the night away with some great people. Also, I was able to make some great plans for 2020, there are some exciting things coming up! I cannot wait, we’re expecting some good shows on the calendar. The food was to die for, a cracking Christmas evening with some great people.

Christmas Market, Waddesdon Manor | Last year, I went to ALL the Christmas markets to get me into the festive spirit, this year was no different. Yasmine and I visited Waddesdon Manor for the second time to visit their Christmas Markets and the Winter Lights. We missed those last year as we visited too early in the day. It was such a beautiful afternoon, it was so beautiful with all the Christmas Lights. I was left feeling super festive.

D2BD Community Event, Williams Racing | Oh my God, Oh my God. I still cannot believe I visited the home of Williams Racing! Since joining Dare to be Different, so many opportunities have opened, from visiting the British Motor Museum and Porsche Reading GB. But this one, this one beats them all! These are great networking and eye-opening events, I love attending as hopefully, this will open the door to the motorsports industry.

Employee of the Month | Like all jobs, there are ups and downs, but we always get through them to live another day. I was shocked to find out I was the Employee of the Month for December, I knew it was coming as it was mentioned in the office, but who, we had to wait until Secret Santa to find out. I had no idea it was me and I’m so thankful. I think I did blush a little.

Dunstable Downs | I love going on an adventure so when Yasmine asked if I wanted to go for a drive, I said yes. We used to do this all the time back home, but have hardly done it now. We travelled from Aylesbury to Dunstable Downs, the highest point in the East of England. It was such a beautiful place but as it was the highest point, it was very, very cold! We’re definitely going to visit when it’s warmer. I bet those views are going to be even more beautiful.

Christmas 2019 | It wouldn’t be a December Favourites without mentioning Christmas, would it! Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year, the food and spending time with family. Of course, this year was no different as I spent Christmas Eve with my Grandparents and Christmas Day with my parents and sisters. It was so nice to spend time with everyone and I created some more amazing memories.

As Yasmine was only off Christmas Day and Boxing Day, I spent Boxing Day with her and my Uncle. I basically had two Christmasses and it was magical. I was interested in a Boxing Day walk but with the horrible weather, I’m good thanks! I’m still holding out for our first Christmas in our own house together, now that will be a special year. I’m looking forward to that one. Oh, at least presents will be easy that year!

I hope you have enjoyed this Favourites post! It’s always crazy how much you do over the course of a month. I love looking at my Instagram to help me reflect on the previous month. December has been a blur, I have enjoyed getting into the festive spirit and enjoying it with the family.
