Monthly Favourites // February 2020

Goodbye February! Hello March!

I hope you’ve had a wonderful month – I’m not going to lie, it’s been up and down. It’s been another quiet month, but I’m happy with that! Especially when looking at my calendar for the rest of 2020. I’m looking forward to March, there are some exciting things happening. Before moving forward to March, now is a great time to review what I did in February with my Monthly Favourites.

It’s time to reflect on what happened in February.

Plymouth | The month kicked off with our trip to Plymouth, the best time of year. We were meant to go in January but decided against it and to go down for Yasmine’s birthday instead. This was a great decision and we were able to enjoy ourselves. Yes, it was cold but was still an enjoyable time. There are so many favourites that I thought I would break it down.

Wet Wok | I love going to new restaurants and for Yasmine’s birthday, it was no different! The Wet Wok is a Chinese restaurant on the seafront, best location. I can see this being a really popular place in the Summer. The food was amazing, there was soo much but definitely worth it and I loved it!

Haynes International Motor Museum | It wouldn’t be a month without visiting a car show. I have always wanted to visit the Haynes International Motor Museum, but I was always busy when they had their breakfast meets on. Now being so far away, it’s even harder! They always host a breakfast meet the first Sunday of the month, we just so happened to be in Plymouth that weekend. It was definitely worth it, a lovely stroll around the museum and great seeing all kinds of cars.

Paignton | It wouldn’t be a trip to Plymouth without visiting Paignton, unfortunately, we could not visit Yasmine’s Nan – something was going around the care home. But it was nice to have a day out and the weather was pretty nice to us! Also, I might have got a little wet trying to take a photo next to the sea. It was a day of being big kids and having no care in the world.

Cosy Club | I love exploring new restaurants, that’s exactly what we did with Cosy Club. This cute little restaurant that is quite new to Plymouth, just look at the decor! It’s definitely a pretty place and was great spending the evening with both Yasmine and Dee, catching up and having a laugh. Definitely need to do this more often!

1 Year Ownership | Happy 1 Year Ownership! I cannot believe it’s been one whole year since I received my little baby. Over 21,000 miles later and she’s still as good as the first day. She’s brought me together with some great people, I’ve met old faces and created new friends. Let’s see what the next year brings! I’m pretty positive there’s going to be plenty more car shows.

Dermalogica Skincare | I have been struggling with acne and poor skin conditions for a little while now. I’ve been trying different products but nothing has worked! When I was in Plymouth, I had a free consultation to find the best products for me. I was recommended MediBac to treat, clear and hopefully prevent breakouts so far so good, but time will tell!

I’m soo glad I did this and I’m definitely seeing a difference in my skin. It’s a slow burn but we’re getting there. I’m even thinking about more self-care, maybe a face massage every other month. It’s good to feel good in your own body, rather than covering up or not being yourself because your confidence has decreased.

I hope you have enjoyed this Favourites post! It’s always crazy how much you do over the course of a month. I love looking at my Instagram to help me reflect on the previous month. February has been a lovely month, still quiet but had some relatively busy moments. I’m really looking forward to the next month. Onwards to March let’s see what the month brings.

I hope you have enjoyed this review! What is one of your Favourites from February?
