Goodbye April! Hello May!
I hope you’ve had a lovely start to May. As it’s the beginning of a new month, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the Goals I set myself at the beginning of April. Then create new Goals for May, which is going to be an odd month! I love setting new Goals, they get you excited for the upcoming month. If you want to see what I got up to in April, I have shared my adventures in my Monthly Favourites // April 2020 here.
It’s great to review and reflect each month, sometimes you even forget what you’ve done. I love sharing these Monthly Goals with you. They definitely help me to stay on top of my Goals and to always think about them. If you’re trying to achieve Yearly Goals, I would definitely recommend breaking them down into Monthly Goals, that way they’re more manageable and you remember them!
Before I set myself some new Goals for May, let’s reflect on my April Goals!
Tick and tick! I have walked at least one mile each day, some days have even been more. It all balances out as some days I have not felt it. I have also been trialling some home gym sessions. Let me tell you, I forgot how unfit I am! I was feeling it for days afterwards. I wanted to try and do a session every other day, so far hasn’t happened but I have continued my one mile each day.
Read x2 books
I was able to read just one book in April which for me, is better than nothing! I know a lot of people have picked up their books and have been able to read a crazy amount. But for me, I have to be in the mood to read and I just haven’t felt like it. I did complete the graphic novel I brought in two days!
I’m waiting for the others to turn up, as soon I receive those, they’ll definitely be read within a couple of days. I do have a couple of Book Blog Tours planned for both May and June so that will be nice. Also at the moment, I am one book ahead of schedule, I’ll take that!
Continue posting ahead
Done! I am currently one week ahead of schedule which is brilliant for me. It also means I don’t have to worry if I have a blip or I’m just not feeling it. Normally this time of year, I’ll be crazy busy, so I would have to work one week ahead but with nothing else to do, it means I can do this! I am going to continue writing as it gives me something to do and I’m still enjoying it, so why not.
Increase pageviews from March
I did it! I finished April on 365 page views, this is better than March AND February, so I’m really proud of myself there. Onwards and upwards for May though, let’s see what this month brings! I know what I have to do and I’ve seen a massive improvement, so let’s continue that. If you’re new to An Ocean Glimmer and have enjoyed this posts, I’ve got plenty of others you can read. Also there’s some good posts coming over the coming weeks.
Post more consistently to Instagram
I didn’t realise until I reviewed Instagram the other day, that I have posted at least once a day to Instagram. This is really strange as normally, I go months without posting anything. If I’m all honest, I’ve just been enjoying posting to Instagram. Sharing with you all what I’ve been doing during this lockdown. It’s going to be an interesting month to look back on!
Let’s get to my May Goals!
- Keep active
- Read x2 books
- Continue posting ahead
- Start a new chapter of my life
- Increase pageviews from April
- Reach 1,500 followers on Instagram
- Post at least 30 times to Instagram
There we go seven Goals for May! I know, I know, they’re very similar to April but there’s not much else I can do and achieve at the moment. While it’s quiet, it’s good to continue these all, also I have all the time in the world to actually try and achieve these Goals. Stay tuned to see how I get on with them. Will I achieve them all in May? Find out when I reflect on my May Goals in my Monthly Goals // June 2020.
Thank-you for reading. What is the one thing you would love to
achieve this month? Let me know in the comment!
Love Gemma x
