Goodbye May! Hello June!
I hope you’ve had a lovely start to June. As it’s the beginning of a new month, now is the perfect time to reflect on the Goals I set myself at the beginning of May. Then create new Goals for June. I love setting new Goals, they get you excited for the upcoming month. If you want to see what I got up to in May, I have shared my adventures in my Monthly Favourites // May 2020 here.
It’s great to review and reflect each month, sometimes you even forget what you’ve done. I love sharing these Monthly Goals with you. They definitely help me to stay on top of my Goals and to always think about them. If you’re trying to achieve Yearly Goals, I would definitely recommend breaking them down into Monthly Goals, that way they’re more manageable and you remember them!
Before I set myself some new Goals for June, let’s reflect on my May Goals!
Keep active
Tick and tick! This month, I have been the most active since joining the gym, I’ve regularly completed workouts, turns out I completed 40 home workouts in May. It’s become a routine every morning that I complete at least one workout, ranging from 10 minutes to 20 minutes.
Depending on the workout of course! I’ve learnt how important a morning stretch is and a cool down stretch. I feel so much better after completing my workout and stretch. I have also walked a total of 120k steps, completing the May Challenge on Samsung Health.
Read x2 books
Another tick, tick! If you have been following An Ocean Glimmer during May, you might just have seen the two book reviews I completed. This month, I read After Darkness by J. F. Johns and Undead Ultra by Camille Picott. I’m glad I’m keeping up on the reading front, this now means I’m two books ahead of my Goodreads 2020 Reading Challenge. Only 10 more books to go until I complete the Challenge!
Continue posting ahead
Hmm this one didn’t go as well as I hoped! Can you believe that things got a little busy for me? I decided to enjoy the warmer weather and have a little me time that didn’t include technology! I did pretty well for the first half of May, then it just went down hill, also this moved into June… oops this post should have been posted last week. I’m in the process of catching up so hopefully, I can continue posting at least twice a week.
Start a new chapter of my life
Done! I started my new job with the MG Car Club at the beginning of May. It’s definitely a little strange starting a new job in lockdown but thankfully, the team are really friendly and have been very welcoming! I’m just very glad for the technology we have and I’ve been able to work from home, also communicating with them has been really easy. I’ve already learnt so much and it’s only been just over a month! Onwards and upwards, I’m looking forward to my future with them.
Increase page views from April
Massive tick on this one! OK I know this may not see like much but for me, this is a massive achievement. In May I received 405 views on An Ocean Glimmer, that’s 40 more than I received in April. Also this was my best month for views since April 2019! For the past couple of months I’ve had and the work I’ve put into it, that’s amazing. Fingers crossed for June! Let’s see what I can achieve.
Reach 1,500 followers on Instagram
Um no… I am way off! I thought by achieving 1,000 followers at the end of April, this would be pretty easy. I knew I shouldn’t of set that high of a Goal! Instagram is really hard to increase your followers, even harder than Twitter. Thankfully though I still have 1,000 followers, I swear I lose followers more than I gain them.
Post at least 30 times to Instagram
Massive tick! I did even better than posting 30 times, I posted a grand total of 40 times during May, that’s pretty impressive if I say so myself. If you follow me on Instagram, I hope you are enjoying the content I’m sharing. I know it’s not the normal content I share but I’m still trying to make it enjoyable for you. Also we’ve had some beautiful weather recently so I’ve been trying to make the most of that!
Let’s get to my June Goals!
- Keep active
- Read x2 books
- Increase page views from May
- Post at least 30 times to Instagram
- Allocate time each week to comment sharing
- Complete June Challenge on Samsung Health
- Post at least twice a week on An Ocean Glimmer
There we go seven Goals for June! I know, I know, they’re very similar to May but there’s not much else I can do and achieve at the moment. While it’s quiet, it’s good to continue these all, also I have all the time in the world to actually try and achieve these Goals. Stay tuned to see how I get on with them. Will I achieve them all in June? Find out when I reflect on my June Goals in my Monthly Goals // July 2020.
Thank-you for reading. What is the one thing you would love to
achieve this month? Let me know in the comment!
Also, make sure to follow me on my blog (in the sidebar) and don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
