Goodbye June! Hello July!
It’s my favourite time of the month, reflecting on the Goals I set myself at the beginning of June, then create new Goals for July. I love setting new Goals as it gets you excited for the upcoming month! Also it is good to have something to look forward to and achieve in the month. If you want to see what I got up to in June, I have shared my adventures in my Monthly Favourites // June 2020 here.
It’s great to review and reflect each month, sometimes you even forget what you’ve done. I love sharing these Monthly Goals with you. They definitely help me to stay on top of my Goals and to always think about them. If you’re trying to achieve Yearly Goals, I would definitely recommend breaking them down into Monthly Goals, that way they’re more manageable and you remember them!
Before I set myself some new Goals for July, let’s reflect on my June Goals!
Keep active
Tick and tick! This month, I continued to be strong with my fitness game. I’ve regularly completed home workouts, completely a total of 30 in June. This is a little down from May but I’m still proud of myself for this accomplishment! Just like May I have felt so much better after completing each workout and stretch. Let’s see what July brings.
Read x2 books
Another tick, tick! I’m really proud of myself for this one, the last couple of months have been really good for book reviews. If you have been following An Ocean Glimmer during June, you might just have seen the three book reviews I completed. This month, I read Cutlass and Flintlock by Ashley Nixon and Link by Summer Wier. I’m glad I’m keeping up on the reading front, this now means I’m three books ahead of my Goodreads 2020 Reading Challenge. Only 7 more books to go until I complete the Challenge!
Increase page views from May
Unfortunately, I had a dip in June. Due to some personal reasons, I wasn’t able to post that much in June, as mentioned in my Monthly Favourites // June 2020. Although, even with this dip, I still managed 365 views, exactly the same as April views! I’m back and ready to go, I have a lot of content to share with you, hopefully over the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned.
Post at least 30 times to Instagram
Nope! I only managed to post 22 times to Instagram… being stuck at home, it is getting harder and harder to post interesting and different content to Instagram. A lot of the posts from June were actually throwbacks! Missing a lot of things that have been cancelled due to Coronavirus. I might have to get a bit inventive with the posts! Although, with F1 now back, there have already been a couple of posts there.
Allocate time each week to comment sharing
Unfortunately, this just didn’t happen. With everything going on, this was the last thing on my mind! I haven’t even taken part in one comment share. I do miss checking out other people’s blogs, it’s definitely great to support other bloggers. Also, sometimes you can come across new bloggers. Hopefully now my life is a little bit calmer, I might be able to do this in July!
Complete June Challenge on Samsung Health
Tick! I have completed another Challenge on Samsung Health. I’m really enjoying these and it’s definitely motivating me. I finished the June Challenge with a total of 152,278 steps which is an increase of 31,989 steps from the May Challenge, which I think is a really good accomplishment. I’m definitely going to continue this for July and beyond. Fingers crossed I can complete the July Challenge, I’m currently on 61,095 but they’ve increased to 200,000 steps! I might have to explore the great outdoors a bit more. If only the British Grand Prix was still on! I definitely would have been able to achieve it that way, we will have to wait and see.
Post at least twice a week on An Ocean Glimmer
I was doing well posting twice a week on An Ocean Glimmer, until near the end of the month… that’s when it just fell off a cliff and I did not post anything, until now! For most of June though, I did achieve this, so to be honest, I half achieved this. I’ve got a lot of ideas so fingers crossed I can get back in the blogging game, I have missed it, it just finding the time.
Let’s get to my July Goals!
- Keep active
- Increase page views from June
- Get back into the Blogging Game
- Post at least 25 times to Instagram
- Complete July Challenge on Samsung Health
There we go five Goals for July! I know, I know, they’re very similar to June but that’s because I didn’t achieve that much in June. There’s something about achieving Goals that leaves a good feeling, so because I didn’t achieve them in June, it would be good to achieve them in July. Stay tuned to see how I get on with them. Will I achieve them all in July? Find out when I reflect on my July Goals in my Monthly Goals // August 2020.
Thank-you for reading. What is the one thing you would love to
achieve this month? Let me know in the comment!
Also, make sure to follow me on my blog (in the sidebar) and don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
