Spring collection from Friction Free Shaving

[PREVIOUSLY COLLABORATED WITH FRICTION FREE SHAVING]

It wasn’t until I started planning for this post that I released I received my very first Friction Free Shaving Shaviour over two years ago! I knew I had it for a while but not that long. I introduced Friction Free Shaving when I was gifted the Shaviour, Rose back in May 2018. If you want to learn more about Friction Free Shaving, you can check out ‘Let’s Talk About Shaving – Friction Free Shaving’. I have been using this handle and the razor delivery service ever since. I still adore the razor and the blades are amazing!

Also the biggest thing about this service, I receive fresh new blades every month. I haven’t had to worry about purchasing razors since. This is a massive weight off my shoulders. I’ve seen subscription services for other health products but as I’ve still got a supply of products, I haven’t seen the point of going ahead with them. If there’s any that you’ve been loving, let me know in the comments!

NYX Makeup Haul

Who doesn’t love to treat themselves? I have been using makeup on and off for a couple of months now, I don’t wear it every day at the moment. When I was based in the office, I did wear makeup every day, it did become apart of me, especially with struggling with my acne. I know nothing about makeup! I’ve been receiving makeup tips from a couple of friends but also speaking to makeup artists. I’ve heard good things about NYX, so after I finished the foundation from L’Oréal, I wanted to trial one from NYX.

I was recommended Born to Glow, I loved this foundation! I never really know how much I use and most of the time, I always try to keep one in reserve. Unfortunately, I didn’t do that this time! When the lockdown came here in the UK, I did stop wearing makeup daily but I still wanted the option there to wear makeup. Due to Coronavirus, of course, I couldn’t pop down to Superdrug or Boots to purchase new products. I did try ordering from Boots and Superdrug online but unfortunately, everything was out of stock.

My AlumierMD Skincare Journey

If you’ve been following An Ocean Glimmer for a little while, you might know that I’ve been on an interesting acne journey. I’ve tried a range of products but unfortunately, nothing seems to work. I see minor changes but nothing that clears up my skin. Now, I know acne doesn’t go away but if I can combat and reduce it, then I’m happy with that! I have truly tried most products on the market.

I know before you can go anywhere with your Doctors, you need to at least try most products. I feel like I’ve tried most of the main products on the market but I know some health or beauty clinics have acne products as well. Yasmine visits one near Aylesbury for her laser hair removal, while at her last appointment she noticed they have acne treatments and recommended I check them out.

Now, more than ever is a great time to explore ‘at-home’ beauty tools. That’s why for today’s post I thought I would share with you the PMD Personal Microderm from PMD Beauty. Before jumping into my experience and thoughts, let’s talking about what the PMD Personal Microderm is:

By combining the power of exfoliation with a unique vacuum suction, the Personal Microderm works to remove the dead, dull skin cell barrier, increase blood flow, and stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin.

What’s in my everyday makeup bag?

I’ve never been one for makeup but recently, I’ve fallen in love with a couple of products. I am a beauty blogger but more on the skincare side of things. Now though, I’m looking to expand my love into other beauty areas, I thought today’s post would be the perfect start to this journey. I’m going to say this now, makeup has given me the confidence needed to feel better in myself.

It’s always good once in a while to step outside of your comfort zone in life. You’ll notice from my collection that it’s VERY basic, now please bear with me as I’ve only just started on this makeup journey. You’ll never know, maybe in the future, I’ll be a bit wilder with makeup. I am willing to learn more about makeup – if you have any how-to posts, I’ll love to read them!

Without further adieu, see my list of makeup items below!

Christmas Collections from The Body Shop

Christmas is a magical time. I love the scents that the festive season brings with it, there’s Winter Spice, Gingerbread, Cinnamon and more. I love when stores match their collections to the festive season, it makes this time of year even more special. One place that’s killing it this year, I’m sure you can tell by the title, is The Body Shop. I am a bigger lover of The Body Shop, especially their seasonal scents.

They killed it with their Autumnal range, they released Vanilla Pumpkin which was amazing! One of the best scents they’ve released. It’s so good I’ve even reviewed Vanilla Pumpkin twice! For as long as I can remember, The Body Shop has released three different Christmas scents. Last year, they released Berry Bon Bon, Peppermint Candy Cane and Vanilla Marshmallow, some amazing scents.

Christmas with LUSH

‘Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful’

Hello, world! I know, I’ve gone awol, again…

But I’m back and hoping to get back into the swing of things. I have missed blogging but as I’ve been super busy with work and getting ready for Christmas, things have dropped off a cliff. Good news though, I have plenty of new content to share with you. And with two whole weeks off work, with not a lot planned, I’m going to be on a writing spree. The first post to share with you is one of my favourites.

Since coming across LUSH, I have fallen in love with their products but with quite an expensive price tag, I can’t purchase everything. I like to treat myself once in a while and what’s better than with a bright and colourful bath bomb to transform you into a different world. I normally purchase their seasonal items, whether that’s Halloween or Christmas, and their beautiful gift sets.

Who can say no to new products? I am always on the lookout for products to try, you never know what you might come across. An email recently dropped in my inbox from Generation Skincare introducing their New Facial Serum; they call it ‘Beauty in a Bottle‘, with a request to review on An Ocean Glimmer.
