Book Review // The Vatican Games*

[AD GIFTED]

I’m excited to be a part of today’s blog book tour. Today, I am reviewing The Vatican Games by Alejandra Guibert – on the twelfth and final day of the blog book tour hosted by Faye Rogers. It’s been a little while since my last blog book tour, nearly six months to be exact but I’m glad to be back on the reading front. There should be just a few book reviews coming to An Ocean Glimmer in the next couple of months.

Before we start my review and what I thought, let’s read the book bio for background context.

One thing in life I have never disliked is popcorn, who does not love popcorn!? Movie nights are essential for me, whether it’s trip to the cinema or snuggling up in your duvet on a cold winter evening. Popcorn makes for the perfect addition as your snack while watching the film. I couldn’t stop myself from saying yes to Popcorn Shed to speak about their gourmet popcorn!

12 Days of Blogmas #7 // Get Festive with BOXY*

I hope you’re all having a lovely December! Can you believe it’s only ten days until Christmas? Where is the month going? All my presents are brought and wrapped, I’m really organised and prepared this year, I’ve also received a couple of gifts for myself. I adore anything silver and of course snowflakes, perfect for this time of year, especially if you’re getting ready for those Christmas meals.

I have teamed up with BOXY this Christmas, BOXY is a new company offering new and affordable products such as phone accessories and jewellery. There are not a whole lot of products on their website but there are many more to come. They have just released a couple of Christmas accessories, including a couple of phone cases featuring cute reindeers and snowflake earrings.

Kathleen Natural Tranquil Fields Review

I’m always interested in trying new products, as long as it features my favourite scents, I will give it a go. An email recently dropped in my inbox from Kathleen Natural introducing their Mini Bubble Bath and Shower Gel with a request to review a collection of my choice. There are three different moods to choose from; Citrus Cheer, Tranquil Fields and Sensual Rose.

Kathleen has released mini size versions of their luxurious, nourishing, delicate body care collection including Roll-on Fragrance Oil and Mini Bubble Bath and Shower Gel. Each collection is scented with three blended, pure essential oils – a top note, heart note and base note – to cover every mood. Of course, a travel size is perfect for on the move.

I chose Tranquil Fields because not only do I love Lavender and Vanilla scents, I wanted something to lift my mood and prepare me for the cold and horrible weather this Winter.

‘Tis the Season of Boots

There’s a pair of boots for every occasion and as soon as Sunday 23 September arrived, there’s even more of a reason to wear boots instead of shoes. Autumn is definitely the season of boots, there is no doubt about it! There are no better shoes to wear during the colder weather than boots. They keep your feet lovely and warm, you can even wear fluffy socks with them.

What I love the most about boots is that there pretty much a pair for every outfit and occasion. I am pretty addicted to boots and as soon as the weather starts getting colder, I bring out my boots and start wearing them. One way to get Winter ready is to purchase some new boots, an online store where you can purchase all kinds of boots? Yes, please!

Caring for my feet with Flexitol

Your feet are the most important part of your body, your feet touch the ground whenever you’re standing, walking or running, and they are extensions of the legs. They are the foundation of your body, which means keeping your feet healthy can help keep you healthy. I’ve never really looked after my feet, even when I had a job in retail where I’m on my feet most of the day.

Although your feet are out of sight, you should treat them as though they were still on display. Winter is now only around the corner, during the Winter feet can dry out, leading to cracked heels and peeling skin. I have always struggled with dry and cracked skin with my heels definitely going through the worst. For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been trying some products from Flextitol and I want to share my thoughts with you.

In total, I received four different products from Flexitol, Hand Balm, Cuticle & Nail Cream, Heel Balm and Moisturising Foot Cream. I recently shared my thoughts on Hand Balm and Cuticle & Nail Cream, they’ve been good to keep my hands feeling refresh during all these different weather conditions. Today I am sharing my thoughts with you on the Heel Balm and Moisturising Foot Cream.

Blogger Book Nook #8 // Murder in the Library

It’s that time of the month again, it’s time to indulge in a book that relates to the Monthly Reading Challenge created by the Blogger Book Nook. This month’s Reading Challenge is a little different and took a while to find a book that could relate to Murder in the Library. Meaning April is all about entering the twisting, turning tunnels of Crime and Thriller Fiction, asking the question WHO DUNNIT?!

I’m excited to indulge in a book of this genre, as it’s definitely an interesting genre. We receive our monthly Reading Challenge from either Abbey or Tabitha, two of the kindest girls, on the Facebook page. Here we have some great conversations and are able to talk books! This is also the perfect opportunity to get to know new bloggers, ones that have a similar interest, books and reading.
