Monthly Goals // February 2018

Today is the day to be looking back at the Goals I set for January, as well as setting myself some new ones for the upcoming month of February. I hope you are all well and have had a good start to the year, I hope it’s not been stressful and the New Year has rewarded you. It feels like yesterday that I was setting Goals for January, so I can’t believe it’s already February.

This month should be a good one for not only myself but Yasmine, I briefly spoke about this in my January Favourites this week, I don’t want to be repeating myself so please head here to see what I loved in January and what is in store in February for myself. I love reflecting on my goals, it seems to give me the motivation I require, as well as figuring out what I need to do each month.

Before I set myself some new Goals for February, let’s reflect on my January Goals!

January has definitely been a jam-packed month! Hopefully, you’ve been enjoying all my content this month, especially all my book reviews. It’s no different today, I am sharing you my fourth review of January, which is very exciting! I have left the best till last as I will be sharing with you my review of Skeletal by Emma Pullar. Normally these book reviews are thanks to a book blog tours hosted by either Neverland Blog Tours or The Book Marketing Expert.

For today’s review though, I actually came across Skeletal when Emma reached out to a variety of bloggers on Twitter. I jumped at the opportunity to help her find her audience, she’s currently finding it hard because the novel isn’t Young Adult as it’s too gory and sweary, yet with the protagonist having a young voice, she feels it should fit this genre/audience.  In her own words, Skeletal has been created to fuel her want of Young Adult dystopian with more adult themes.

Right enough chit chat, shall we get into the review of Skeletal?

I am taking part in the Joshua N’Gon: Last Prince of Alkebulahn Blog Tour hosted by Jenny Marston, the creator of Neverland Blog Tours. If you’ve been following An Ocean Glimmer for a while, I’m sure this name will be familiar! This very exciting Blog Tour starts today for a variety of bloggers, I am very happy to be the first stop on the tour, today I will be sharing the day with A Rambling Reviewer and Book Snail Reads.

Book Review // Ordnance

Today is not only the first book review of January but my first book review of 2018. Even though we are two weeks into January, it still doesn’t feel like a new year. I hope things are going well for yourself and you’ve had a good start to the year. This week, I am privileged to be on the Ordnance Blog Tour, organised by the lovely Emma Green at The Book Marketing Expert.

I have my fingers crossed that I can continue these monthly blog tours into 2018, I loved reading each month last year, with thanks to Jenny Marston over at Neverland Blog Tours. By reading Ordnance, I am one step closer to my January Goal of reading a total of 3 books this month, I have also got a 2018 Goal of reading a total of 15 books. I think that is pretty manageable, don’t you?

I’ve set myself this challenge through Goodreads, you can keep up to date with my 2018 Reading Challenge here.

Now enough chit chat, let’s start the review of Ordnance, a science fiction book by Andrew Vaillencourt.
