Happy January, Happy New Year!

I hope you had a lovely Christmas! Can you believe January is here? January brings with it a New Year, I’m soo excited for 2019. Before we move forward to January though, I need to reflect on December. There is no better way of doing that than my Monthly Favourites. The month has been amazing, I’ve made some amazing memories with friends and family over the past 31 days.

12 Days of Blogmas // Merry Christmas!

Can you believe what day it is today, that’s right, it’s Christmas Day! I hope you have all had a lovely day, opened all your presents and stuffed your face with amazing Christmas food. Don’t worry, I’m not writing this post on Christmas Day! It’s pre-written and scheduled because I need to spend the day with my family. I thought I would write this post as a reflection of December and 12 Days of Blogmas.

I would like to just say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me by reading my blog throughout December. I hope to continue creating great content for you all! I am always so thankful to all of those who continually read An Ocean Glimmer as well as those who are new if that’s you, why hello there! Without you, I doubt I would have ever continued.

12 Days of Blogmas #6 // Christmas Spirit

I hope December is treating you well. For today’s post I wanted to talk about Christmas Spirit, those two words mean a lot to different people, I wanted to share what they mean to me. I don’t get into the spirit until 1st December, this might be shocking to a few. How can someone choose when to get into the spirit? I hear you ask. I have always had this rule, the decorations do not appear until on or after 1st December.

With a birthday at the end of November, I like to have a bit of breathing space after celebrating and enjoying to then get excited for Christmas. I know some people who start a week before December, shops are even selling cards and decorations as early as October! I much prefer to have 24 days of extreme Christmas spirit than have nearly a month and a half of watered down Christmas spirit.
