It’s no surprise that I love a good tag! I have done plenty over the years of being a blogger. They’re always something I have a passion for. Unfortunately, it has been a little while since I have done one and if I’m honest, I have missed doing them. There’s not been one that has jumped out to me, until now of course! I found this tag over at The Wordy Habitat and it’s called Coffee Book Tag – two of my favourite things!
I’m definitely a coffee girl, I know my Instagram doesn’t show it at the moment, being in the lockdown and all but I used to spend quite a lot of my time at Starbucks. Also, there’s nothing better than grabbing a book and escaping from the world around you for a couple of hours. The Coffee Book Tag was really fun to answer; let me know what your answers would be down in the comments!

I’m really excited to share with you today, what I received for Christmas, now I don’t want this to be a ‘show off’ post. I want it to be a reflection of my Christmas and thankful for what I received. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! Mine was lovely, I spent Christmas Eve with my Grandparents, Christmas Day with my parents and then Boxing Day with Yasmine and my Uncle.
I don’t want to go into too much detail here as I spoke about Christmas in my December Favourites. Check that post out here!
Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020!
Not only is it a New Year but it’s also a new decade! I hope you had a lovely start to January, it’s one of my favourite months of the year as it’s perfect for reviewing what happened and how you can improve. Also, it’s really quiet! I love this as I can wind down before the excitement of the Summer which is one of the fast pace times of the year. Also, I’m able to catch up on my blogging game!
Before we move forward to 2020, I thought it would be good to look back on 2019 and review my favourite moments. I know I shared my Monthly Favourites, well most months, so really it’s just one big summary of all those months. I would be here forever if I shared EVERYTHING. So I’ll only be sharing one or two special moments from the month. Some months this was hard as soo much happened!
I hope you’ve had a lovely start to January. I’m really excited about the upcoming month, it’s the start of a new month and a new year. I cannot believe 2019 has been and gone. December was an amazing month, as usual, I had a lovely Christmas! You can read all about my Christmas here with my December Favourites.
As I’ve been away for a while I haven’t got any Goals to reflect on from the previous month so I’m going straight into my January Goals. Fingers crossed that I’ll be able to achieve all these Goals. I’ll also be reviewing my Personal Goals and Blogging Goals for 2019 that I set at the beginning of the year. Stay tuned for that post.
Goodbye December! Hello January!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. Can you believe January is here? I still cannot believe where 2019 went. I wish you all the best for 2020. I have everything crossed for a great start to the year. I don’t have so much planned, but it’s nice to have a quiet one once in a while! It’s time to reflect on the previous month, I love doing this by sharing my Monthly Favourites with you!
It’s time to reflect on what happened in December.
Christmas is a magical time. I love the scents that the festive season brings with it, there’s Winter Spice, Gingerbread, Cinnamon and more. I love when stores match their collections to the festive season, it makes this time of year even more special. One place that’s killing it this year, I’m sure you can tell by the title, is The Body Shop. I am a bigger lover of The Body Shop, especially their seasonal scents.
They killed it with their Autumnal range, they released Vanilla Pumpkin which was amazing! One of the best scents they’ve released. It’s so good I’ve even reviewed Vanilla Pumpkin twice! For as long as I can remember, The Body Shop has released three different Christmas scents. Last year, they released Berry Bon Bon, Peppermint Candy Cane and Vanilla Marshmallow, some amazing scents.
‘Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful’
Hello, world! I know, I’ve gone awol, again…
But I’m back and hoping to get back into the swing of things. I have missed blogging but as I’ve been super busy with work and getting ready for Christmas, things have dropped off a cliff. Good news though, I have plenty of new content to share with you. And with two whole weeks off work, with not a lot planned, I’m going to be on a writing spree. The first post to share with you is one of my favourites.
Since coming across LUSH, I have fallen in love with their products but with quite an expensive price tag, I can’t purchase everything. I like to treat myself once in a while and what’s better than with a bright and colourful bath bomb to transform you into a different world. I normally purchase their seasonal items, whether that’s Halloween or Christmas, and their beautiful gift sets.
Now that Christmas is around the corner, I’m sure you’re all getting ready. One thing you might just need to add to your shopping list is Christmas cards, but I might have found a solution to the old fashion Christmas card. I’m talking about cards that you send via email instead of the postbox. Today I’ll be introducing you to Paperless Post, to think again about how you send cards.
Paperless Post is the premier destination for online invitations that get people excited to get together. There is a wide range to choose from, including classic stationery designs, or customise a flyer with GIFs and stickers. They’re available to celebrate the most important life occasions from birthday and Christmas to a Wedding and parties. Not only can you share via email but also text, or social media.

Here we are, the second geeky goodness post in last than a week! Today I am sharing with you MyGeekBox, a monthly themed box full of geeky goodness, of course, as the name suggests. This was the second box I picked up at MCM Comic Con back in March when I visited Birmingham NEC. I’m not going to go into too much detail here, but if you are interested, then head over here for more.
The first box I unboxed was from ZBOX if you’re interested to see what I received, then head over here for the full unboxing.
Here is what I received in the MyGeekBox MCM Comic Con Exclusive.
It’s no surprise I am a massive geek! I definitely need to add more of this content to An Ocean Glimmer. Back in March, I visited Birmingham NEC for the second time in six months to attend MCM Comic Con Birmingham 2019. I fell in love with it so much in November, I just had to go again! I spoke about this in my Monthly Favourites for March 2019, head over here for more.
Of course, I couldn’t go to Comic Con without picking up a couple of items! Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be sharing a couple of posts. If you love geeky goodness, then stay tuned. Today, I’ll be introducing you to ZBOX, a monthly themed box, filled to the brim with memorabilia. I couldn’t resist picking up this box! I’ve heard such good things about them, it also always feels like Christmas when you open one.
