If you don’t already know, but I am a massive motorsports fan. If you didn’t know that, where have you been? If you’re new to An Ocean Glimmer, please say hello! If I’m not watching motorsports, you will find me at a race circuit. Of course, neither is possible at the moment so the next best thing is reading. My bookshelf is full of motorsports books, so I thought I would share my range of motorsports books.
I do apologise for the mini-blogging break, again… things have been semi hectic! As I am writing this I am only just recovering from an amazing weekend at Silverstone for the 2019 Formula 1 British Grand Prix. Check out my Instagram for daily photos of my adventures. I have been thinking for a little while about introducing more motorsports orientated posts, if you would be interested in an in-depth post about Silverstone, please let me know down in the comments!
Now though, let’s start today with The Blogger Tag. I love completing these types of posts, I love being nosy and it’s a great way to get to know other people! Created by Abbie over at Abbie Chic the aim of the tag is to get to know other bloggers, each question definitely allows that, also who doesn’t love getting to know other people. I always try to be pretty open about my life, rather than creating someone who I’m not. If you don’t like me for who I am, then I don’t want to know you!

I can’t believe it’s March! Before we move forward to the new month though, now is a good time to reflect on the previous month and what happened. There is no better way of doing that than with my Monthly Favourites, it’s time to reflect on what happened in February. It’s incredible what you get up to in a month as well as the new products you are exposed to.

We’re heading in June, the official start of Summer! Recently though, it seems like we’ve skipped Spring and headed straight into Summer with the weather we’ve had. A new month means it’s time to share with you my favourites, for me May has been a busy month, I think every weekend I’ve been doing something. This is definitely not changing heading into June.
May has been a cracking month! Meaning I’m really excited to share my favourites with you but I’m sure you might just have seen these on my social channels.

I’m sure it’s no surprise that I’m a massive motorsports fan! I’m always talking about it here as well as on Twitter, motorsports has always been a part of my life. From a very young age, my Dad introduced me to Formula 1. He would watch it each weekend and I would sit there with him, I didn’t have a clue of who was who or what was going on.
I continued to watch F1 growing up and before I realise, I knew about everything that was going on. I started to enjoy it more as well as finding the team and driver to support each race, then I started to enjoy other series and formulas, like DTM, Formula E and World Endurance Championship.
Well here we are, another month over, now it starts becoming fun with Spring finally here, I can’t wait for it to start warming up. I’ve had a great March, there’s been a lot going on and I’m glad to finally be doing things outside of work. Least with the weather getting better, I can! If you follow me on Twitter and Instagram, you’ll probably know about everything I’m going to show you below.

I thought I would introduce you to one of my passions, as some of you know I am a massive fan of motorsports, mainly Formula 1 but also British Touring Car Championship and World Endurance Championship. Before 2014, I had never attended a motorsports championship at Silverstone, a circuit that I constantly drove past whenever I went to my uncle’s.
It wasn’t until I saw Silverstone advertising their Race Maker program that I thought, I should definitely apply for that! It would be a dream come true if I attended an event at Silverstone, I know I lived six hours away and couldn’t drive but I thought why not. You never know unless you apply. My mum threw all sorts of questions at me when I told her I wanted to apply, like how will you get there, where will you live?
I just replied saying, I might not even get it. When I received that email to say can I travel to Silverstone to have an interview, I was over the moon, straight away telling dad that he needs to take me to Silverstone. It also meant my first time visiting Silverstone would be with my dad, who also wanted to visit the circuit but never had free time with his job. Trying to drive from the main gate to the Wing took forever!
