Monthly Favourites // May 2020

Goodbye May! Hello June!

I hope you and your family are safe and well. Can you believe June is here? What happened with May! I don’t know about you, but I feel like May went faster than April. Is that because I’ve gotten used to this whole lockdown thing? Well whatever it is, I’m happy for June. Normally June is a really good month, it’s full of car shows and it’s the start of Summer.

I’m not sure what June will bring but hopefully, whatever it is, it will be good! Of course, my Favourites are a little different at the moment, unfortunately, I haven’t been able to do much. This month’s Favourites includes just that, what I have loved throughout May. If you following me on Instagram, you might just recognise some of my Favourites as I’ve been sharing with you A LOT of content on Instagram.

What has been one of your Favourites from May? Let me know in the comments! I’ll love to know.

It’s time to reflect on my May Favourites:

6 of my current Disney+ picks

While in lockdown I have watched A LOT of films and series on both Netflix and Disney+. Yes, I’ve been working but I need something in the background, also I’ve got more time in the morning and evening. Also, I’m not really doing that much on the weekend! Disney+ was launched whilst in the lockdown and I forgot how many films are Disney, it was like going back to my childhood.

If you don’t know what Disney+ is, it’s a streaming service just like Netflix and Amazon Prime, but it has everything Disney! I have been watching so much, it was definitely time for a new platform, I was starting to run out of things to watch on Netflix. There is so much to watch on Disney+, where do you start!? In the past, I’ve shared my Netflix recommendations, today I thought I would share my current Disney+ picks.

Ways to keep busy during the lockdown

Here in the UK, we have been in lockdown since Monday 23 March. With working in PR and Marketing, I have been able to continue working, Monday to Friday, from home of course. It’s been an interesting one as in the past, it’s only been one or two days maximum. So I haven’t had very much downtime during the week to think, what should I do today?

I know there are a lot of people who unfortunately have been furloughed, Yasmine is one of them so I thought today I would share with you some ways to keep busy during the lockdown. Just remember, we’re all in this together and if you need someone to speak to, I am always here. I’m lucky as I live with family but I know some people are on their own.

Easter movie picks

🐰 Happy Easter 🐤

I hope you and your families are keeping safe and well. We’re in a crazy world at the moment but that doesn’t mean we cannot enjoy ourselves indoors. One way of doing that is relaxing on the sofa while watching something on television. There are so many TV shows and movies out there that can keep you occupied for hours.

I have watched so much already, there is still so much to watch though! Also who thought to release Disney+ now? I have been addicted to watching everything and there are so many movies I forgot how much I loved! One day I binged watched Mulan and then next The Princess Diaries, I love it and there’s still so much I need to watch.

With Easter this weekend, I thought it would be a great time to share with you some Easter movie picks to get us into the spirit – especially as we cannot explore the great outdoors.

Here are four Easter/Spring movies you should watch this weekend:

An A-Z of An Ocean Glimmer!

I’m not a very me, me, me person but I do feel that it’s good to get to know the person behind a blog. Recently, I’ve done a few different posts to introduce myself to you, including Things I Love About Motorsports and Things That Make Me Happy. April is turning into the month of getting to know me, Gemma Bray, the girl behind An Ocean Glimmer and today is no different!

At the beginning of this month, I came across An A-Z of Me from Zoe Jackson over at Just Zoe. I fell in love with this post as I found it interesting to pick just one thing that related to each of the 26 letters of the alphabet. Now, it seems like a semi-easy thing to do but I’ve got this feeling that when I actually get stuck in, it won’t be that easy… Like right now, I can’t think of anything for the last couple of letters.

Shall we get started with An A-Z of MeContinue reading “An A-Z of An Ocean Glimmer!”

Blogmas Day 4 // Christmas Wishlist

I do hope December is treating you well! It definitely is feeling a lot more festive and I can not wait to start celebrating Christmas probably. Now for Blogmas Day 4, I wanted to share with you my Christmas Wishlist. It has been hard thinking about items as my birthday was towards the end of last month, so I’ve had to have two lists within a month!

It wasn’t until after choosing these items that I realised how much it was related to! I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing but recently I’ve come across some great brands and I would love to get my hands on them. Also, I always seem to fall in love with things at the same time.

Now without further ado let’s begin my 2017 Christmas Wishlist!

MAD Beauty Christmas Haul

I know what you’re all thinking, Christmas! But it’s only October, well I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s seen all the Christmas cards, chocolate, presents already in the shops! I think we’re all starting to celebrate Christmas a little earlier, instead of it being after Halloween, everything starts appearing in September. As you can already tell by the heading, I’m going to be showing you some of the products you can get your hands on from MAD Beauty this Christmas.

I received a very good selection of just some of the products you can put on your Christmas wishlist, from Bon Bon Bath Fizzers from their Modern Christmas collection to a Hand Care Set in the scent Cranberry, three cute little Lip Balms and latest Rose Bath Petals from their Disney Beauty & the Beast Collection. When I opened the parcel, it felt a lot like Christmas! The packaging all screams Christmas, it felt like a little early for this parcel though.

Ever since I can remember, I’ve always celebrated Christmas after my Birthday on 25 November. It just makes sense, to be honest. The Bath Petals were a little random to receive with the other products but at the same time, I was excited to have received them. Before I get into the Christmas Haul, I want to chat a little about MAD Beauty, they are the leader in design led cosmetics for both the gift and professional sectors. With them all working tirelessly to provide a wide range of novel, fun and interesting products.

March Favourites

I can not believe how fast 2017 is going! One minute it was 1 March and now March is finished and April is in full swing. That means a wrap up of my favourite things from March. For me, March was pretty busy as I traveled a lot during the month, first I went to London for an interview for a Magazine Training Course with Press Association.

I had a lovely time in London, I was only there for a day but as the interview was in the morning, I was able to spend the afternoon sightseeing! Which I loved as I haven’t had a stroll around London in a while, when I went for my Autosport interview for the Junior Programme I was busy all day. Press Association is based a ten minute walk from Buckingham Palace, so I jumped at the chance to visit there.
