Technology has become a massive part of our everyday lives. We’re all wanting to create a smart environment. From being able to turn on our heating with a touch of a button on our phone and with voice control, enable Spotify to play our favourite song. Today I wanted to chat about my experience just over six months in to using the Samsung Galaxy Watch.
I have wanted a smart watch for a little while, I previously had a Sony Smart Watch, but unfortunately, that didn’t last long. Also it was bulky and didn’t really look like a watch. As a lover on Samsung and Android, it was no wonder I picked up the Galaxy Watch, it connects easily to my phone and in Rose Gold, looks pretty good. I couldn’t say no to Rose Gold!
In the modern society, our lives are more fast paced than ever before.
Longer work hours, advanced technology, constantly raising standards and new social pressures are putting us under ever increasing levels of stress. In this world, feeling stressed is something so common. One of the best ways to find out about how to de-stress is reading articles online. It’s helpful if you’re unsure and gives you new ideas on how to de-stress.
Everyone in the world experiences stress, and although stress is part of life, it’s not healthy to feel stressed all the time. Being stressed makes you feel less energised and less optimistic, which is not good. With my work life and personal life merging between the two, now is a perfect time to evaluate and de-stress. I have been feeling it recently and I don’t want you to do the same.
Netflix has been killing it recently! They have some amazing programmes and movies you should definitely watch. I pretty much watch something day in, day out on Netflix. I have been truly addicted to some, weekends are great as I pretty much watch a whole season in one sitting. Before you realise there are no more episodes and you’re waiting five months for the next season.
The last time I shared my Favourite Netflix Series was back in December 2017! A lot has happened and changed since then, now is a perfect time to share my Current Netflix Top Picks. I’m really excited to share these with you today, please let me know down in the comments if you’ve watched any of these yourself. They’re all pretty different from one another, I love the diversity of programmes.
Moving from Winter to Spring is probably the wrong time of year, it’s great watching Netflix during the colder months. It’s lovely sitting on the sofa, with a blanket, maybe even cuddling up with your loved one and watching a movie on Netflix, or even binge-watching one of their many series. Now it’s starting to warm up, I will be watching less so hopefully nothing much good and exciting comes out!
If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s I love stationery! Everything from notebooks and pens to planners and journals. Also, who could say no to pretty and cute stationery? I don’t show you my love enough here on An Ocean Glimmer, I’m going to try once in a while to create a stationery roundup, haul call it what you will. Maybe even once a month!
For today, I’m going to be sharing with you a small collection of stationery. Recently I entered a giveaway from Soffy | The Mum Affairs and I won! Of course, I couldn’t say no to entering a stationery giveaway, especially as there were some beautiful items. Before we get into what I received, I just wanted to thank Soffy for hosting the giveaway and the beautiful items.
Goodbye March, Hello April!
How was your March? I hope you had a lovely start to Spring. Today I am going to be reflecting on the Goals I set myself at the beginning of March. Then creating new Goals for the upcoming month of April. Creating new Goals each month helps you to stay on top of what you want to achieve for the year. There’s something about it that makes me more determined to achieve them.
Hello there April!
I am so excited for the upcoming month. I have some great things planned, but before we can move forward to the new month, now is a great time to reflect on the previous month. I love doing this by sharing my Monthly Favourites with you! It’s time to reflect on what happened in March. It’s not until the end of the month that I realised exactly what I’ve been up to and the products I’ve been loving.
Missed my February Favourites? Head over here to see what I was loving
during the month.
It’s easy to concentrate on all of the things I don’t have in life and be upset and bitter about it, but I don’t and I’m not. I’m grateful for the things I do have and have had in my life. Gratitude is one of the very best ways to improve your mood, it can be hard to focus more on the positive things in life. As humans, we will always pay more attention to the negative over the positive.
It can be hard to believe everything will be okay when you’re having a hard time. Today I wanted to write a post on the things I’m grateful for because there is so much to be grateful for and we can often forget how lucky we are to have what we have. With all the awful stuff going on in the world right now, I thought there was no better time to share it than the present.

Now I know to most people believe we’ve had Spring for a couple of weeks. For me, I believe 20 March 2019 is the first day Spring. We’ve had an interesting start to March, with Storm Freya gracing us with her presence. We’re on Day 6 of the Astronomical Spring, I thought I would continue the theme of Self-Care and looking after yourself this Spring, by sharing a couple of Self-Care ideas.
Last week, I shared with you my face mask collection, a perfect addition to any pamper evening. Spring is the perfect time to reevaluate your routine and add in new products, also there’s something about Spring and the freshness of everything. Animals are being born, flowers are blooming and it’s the perfect time to think about yourself. Spring is a magical time of the year.

🌸 Hello first day of Spring! 🌸
A pamper evening isn’t a relaxing one without a bubble bath and a face mask. I am coming late to the face mask party, it’s only recently that I’ve fallen in love. My last trip to Wilko was successful, I managed to grab a small selection of 7th Heaven Easy Peel Masks at just £1 each. I also have the Deep Cleansing Bubble Mask Blueberry from the Autumnal Box Swap with Samantha. J.
Today I thought I would share with you my face mask collection and what I’ve been loving recently. These are all a must addiction to make a perfect pamper evening. I’m amazed at the prices of these masks! It’s perfect for your pamper evening, you can get a lot for your money at £1 each. The Deep Cleansing Bubble Mask Blueberry from Primark is even less at 80p. Who can say no to new products? I am always on the lookout for products to try, you never know what you might come across. An email recently dropped in my inbox from Generation Skincare introducing their New Facial Serum; they call it ‘Beauty in a Bottle‘, with a request to review on An Ocean Glimmer. When they mentioned the lovely Sweet Orange scent, I couldn’t resist!
‘Generation A’ Facial Serum is a lightweight, all-natural serum that contains Vitamin B, C and E, Aloe Vera and Hyaluronic Acid. Vitamin C helps to prevent signs of ageing before they even begin, to hydrate and rejuvenate the skin. Alongside the Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid works to retain water and to keep the skin super hydrated.
