Monthly Favourites // July 2020

Goodbye July! Hello August!

Ok I know it only feels like yesterday that I shared my June Favourites, well technically it was only two weeks ago! But here are my July Favourites. Normally, I would be saying, grab a cuppa and a biscuit, this is a long one but unfortunately, it’s not this time. July has been a little quiet, just like the other months! Although, July did actually go quite fast – I’ve still got an interesting Favourites post to share with you today.

I’m really looking forward to August, there’s even a couple of car shows planned. But before I move forward to August, I love reflecting on the previous month, yup that’s right I’m talking about my July Favourites. This month’s Favourites includes what I have loved throughout July. If you follow me on Instagram, you might just recognise some of my Favourites. What has been one of your Favourites from July? Let me know in the comments! I’ll love to know.

5 things I want to do when COVID-19 is over

Well, another day and another day of being stuck at home, yes I am enjoying it as I’m being super productive but of course, it comes with its negatives. There is so much we’ve all had to cancel, it’s all been for a good reason but doesn’t mean we don’t dislike it. Having plans and something to look forward to keeps us happy but when we don’t know what the next day will bring, it can be a little worrying.

There’s not a lot we can really do at the moment, apart from following the government guidance and trying our best to keep the days busy. As mentioned in ways to keep busy during the lockdown, I’m actually quite lucky as I am still working from home. From Monday to Friday, I’m keeping myself busy, it’s then just the weekend I have to figure out what I want to do.

We’re all in the same boat – one way to help get through this is by having positive things to look forward to. Here’s my list of things I want to do when all of this is over:

Motorsports books on my bookshelf

If you don’t already know, but I am a massive motorsports fan. If you didn’t know that, where have you been? If you’re new to An Ocean Glimmer, please say hello! If I’m not watching motorsports, you will find me at a race circuit. Of course, neither is possible at the moment so the next best thing is reading. My bookshelf is full of motorsports books, so I thought I would share my range of motorsports books.

Hello, there August!

Can you believe it’s already August? Please just slow down! Before I realise my birthday will be here and then it will be the end of 2019. The Blogger Tag // Get to know me

I do apologise for the mini-blogging break, again… things have been semi hectic! As I am writing this I am only just recovering from an amazing weekend at Silverstone for the 2019 Formula 1 British Grand Prix. Check out my Instagram for daily photos of my adventures. I have been thinking for a little while about introducing more motorsports orientated posts, if you would be interested in an in-depth post about Silverstone, please let me know down in the comments!

Now though, let’s start today with The Blogger Tag. I love completing these types of posts, I love being nosy and it’s a great way to get to know other people! Created by Abbie over at Abbie Chic the aim of the tag is to get to know other bloggers, each question definitely allows that, also who doesn’t love getting to know other people. I always try to be pretty open about my life, rather than creating someone who I’m not. If you don’t like me for who I am, then I don’t want to know you!

Grab a cup of coffee and some snacks as I have answered the below questions from Abbie, it might just take a little while! I have also tagged some fellow bloggers to join in and answer the same questions on their blog.

Here are my answers…

Fitness Goals for 2019

If you’ve been following An Ocean Glimmer for a little while, you’ll notice I’ve been including a couple of Fitness Goals in my Monthly Goals. This might sound sad of me but these Goals have really pushed me and now I’m feeling really good about myself. I have now been visiting the Gym constantly for the past month. I would love to continue this as I think it’s improving my mental health.

I know we’re now halfway through the year but surely it’s never a bad time to start something new! Especially if it’s going to help with your overall health, I’m not one of those to wait until the New Year to change something about my life, there is no better time than the present to begin. I did though, wait until the beginning of June to begin my Gym membership, just something about it being a new month, new Goal.

What I Received for Christmas 2018

I’m really excited to share with you today, what I received for Christmas, now I don’t want this to be a ‘show off’ post. I want it to be a reflection of my Christmas and thankful for what I received. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! Mine was lovely, spending it with Yasmine’s family in Plymouth.

There was a good mixture of receiving money and gifts, I swear as you get older it’s harder for gifts. I really struggled last year, when I was creating my lists I wanted to include items that I needed rather than wanting just for the hell of it. With that in mind, I think this list is a good reflection of that.

Enough chit-chat, let’s get started:
