The Coffee Book Tag

It’s no surprise that I love a good tag! I have done plenty over the years of being a blogger. They’re always something I have a passion for. Unfortunately, it has been a little while since I have done one and if I’m honest, I have missed doing them. There’s not been one that has jumped out to me, until now of course! I found this tag over at The Wordy Habitat and it’s called Coffee Book Tag – two of my favourite things!

I’m definitely a coffee girl, I know my Instagram doesn’t show it at the moment, being in the lockdown and all but I used to spend quite a lot of my time at Starbucks. Also, there’s nothing better than grabbing a book and escaping from the world around you for a couple of hours. The Coffee Book Tag was really fun to answer; let me know what your answers would be down in the comments!

My Reading Journey

At the ripe old age of 22, I can’t believe I’m saying this but I love reading. Throughout primary school, English was my worst subject, I absolutely hated this subject and would even break down in tears. This meant reading wasn’t exactly my favourite and while my classmates were enjoying books such as Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia, I was sat in the corner dreading having to read.

I don’t know what it was about reading but we just didn’t get along. It wasn’t until when I was in Year 3 that things changes, my favourite teacher understood what I was going through and was on hand to help me improve. She gave me a list of different children’s authors, to make reading exciting for myself. Now, there’s only one author from this list that I actually remember and still read today.

Must-See Movies of 2018

I am a massive movie buff! I am always watching some kind of movie in the evening, actually, to tell you the truth, I’m currently on a Harry Potter marathon! This evening it’s Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I know we are in March but I thought I would share with you today, my Must-See Movies of 2018.

I definitely feel 2018 is going to be one of those years for movies, there’s so much planned for this year and I am soo excited to watch them all. There’s definitely a mixture of genres and films here, from action and superhero to animation and family favourites. I think these are going to keep me going this year.

If I listed out all my favourites here I would be here forever! I’ve been able to control myself and choose only ten… There was definitely a lot of self-control there and it was a very hard decision.

Right, shall we get started with my Top 10 Must-See Movies of 2018?

It doesn’t feel that long ago that I was introducing you to November’s Reading Challenge, it’s now time to look ahead to December. This month’s Reading Challenge is Festive Reads! This is a very fitting reading prompt with Christmas just around the corner, if I’m honest I don’t think I’ve read that many festive related books. It’s one genre that I’m too keen on if I’m honest.

It’s great to be apart of this community and it’s great chatting with everyone on the Facebook page. Here we have some great conversations and are able to talk books! Right, let’s get on with December’s Reading Challenge.

The Birdhouse Calligraphy

Etsy is one of those websites that you can find anything created by a very talented person, be it stickers for your journals, cute illustrations or even notebooks and other stationery. I adore shopping around all these different stores, they even make for some great presents for your loved ones. Recently I came across the Birdhouse Calligraphy after Louise was on the search for bloggers who adored handmade items. I always love promoting new stores so I jumped at the chance to collaborate with Louise.

After checking out her Etsy store, I fell in love with her work, it’s all so beautiful and even better than that, it’s all handmade by Louise! None of her work is digitalised, it is all handmade when she receives the order, which in my eyes is amazing! You’ll always know that you are receiving something that has been hand created by her own hands. Calligraphy is something that I’ve always loved! I would love to know how to do it and do it well at that, so I am even more impressed by what she does.

An Introduction To: Blogger Book Nook

I have some very exciting news to share with you, I am now apart of a community called Blogger Book Nook! I thought I would introduce you to this community today as I’ve fallen in love with it and there are some great bloggers involved. Growing up reading was something I always struggled with, my English skills were very poor. Until one of my teachers actually helped me and recommended some authors to improve my reading skills.

This is where my love for Jacqueline Wilson started and I still enjoy reading her books. Now I am pretty much addicted to reading! Whether it be DC Comics or Marvel and supernatural thrillers, I love to be sucked into a different universe. Recently though I’ve had to stop reading as much as I used to, thanks to the time I didn’t have during university. With me finishing my third year in May, I’ve now had a lot more time to actually read, as you know from my monthly book reviews with Neverland Blog Tours.

Now enough chit chat, shall we get started?
