My Blogging Journey

There have been things that have been and gone in my life, but one thing that I’ve been consistent and proud of is my blogging journey. I can’t take credit for this post idea, Jenny in Neverland recently shared her blogging journey and I loved the idea of sharing how I started, my favourite moments and the future. Thank-you Jenny for sharing your journey! It was such an insightful post and I am so proud of everything you’ve achieved.

I started An Ocean Glimmer in October 2013, for college I had to create a blog to showcase my writing. As this was something I had to do, I never had the passion like I do now, I didn’t last long before stopping. When I was writing for The Checkered Flag I would share a mini blurb and direct traffic to The Checkered Flag. I didn’t restart An Ocean Glimmer probably until May 2016 with my very first post, Free Comic Book Day 2016.

Book Review // The Eden Paradox

I am on a roll at the moment! A total eleven posts were published throughout January and I really hope you’ve enjoyed them all. Now it’s February, I have my fingers crossed that I can continue this into this month for you all. My first post of February is also my first book review of the new month, I am going to be sharing my thoughts with you on The Eden Paradox from Barry Kirwan.

If you’ve been following An Ocean Glimmer for a little while, I’m sure you’ll recognise Barry Kirwan, as I’ve reviewed his Nadia Laksheva Spy Thriller Series, both 37 Hours and 88° North. during Book Blog Tours hosted by Jenny Marston over at Neverland Blog Tours. Through these, I have found a new love for spy thrillers as well as falling in love with Barry Kirwan.

When Jenny approached saying she had a Book Blog Tour for The Eden Paradox, I jumped at the chance! Barry Kirwan has a range of books out and I would love to read them all, he’s quickly becoming one of my favourite authors. I am the fifth stop on The Eden Paradox Blog Tour hosted by Jenny, I am also sharing today with The Northern Girl and Books, Dreams & Life so please check out their blogs to hear their thoughts.

It is officially CHRISTMAS EVE. I hope you have had a wonderful day and are ready for Christmas tomorrow! It does mean though that this is my last post of Blogmas, I know a sad moment! To finish off Blogmas 2017, I thought I would round up the bloggers that I have been loving this December. I did do this same post for Blogmas 2016, I really enjoyed summing up my favourite posts of December so I thought I would do the same for this year!

Some of these girlies have done Blogmas themselves or have done some great Winter/Christmas themed posts. Shall we begin with my 8 Blogs of Blogmas?

Blogmas Day 13 // Book Review – 88˚ North

I am really excited to share with you today’s book review! As I said on Monday, this week you’re really lucky as there will be two book reviews on An Ocean Glimmer. Monday I reviewed Storyland by Bryan W. Alaspa and today I will be reviewing 88˚ North by J.F. Kirwan. If you’ve been following An Ocean Glimmer for a while, you’ll know that I reviewed the second book in the Nadia Laksheva Spy Thriller Series, 37 Hours.

I would definitely recommend reading my review before going any further with this one, as it will help you to understand the book. I’m really proud of how much I’ve read recently, this is really helping with my goals each month. Just like 37 Hours, I am taking part in the 88˚ North Blog Tour hosted by Neverland Blog Tours. Today I will be sharing the day with The Writing Garnet and Read, Write, Inspire.

July Favourites

I’m not sure about you, but July has gone pretty quickly for me, it’s already the 2 August with only a couple more months to go until Christmas! I’ve really enjoyed writing these Favourites posts, as it’s a perfect way for me to remember what I’ve done, just like June I’ve been pretty busy this month. For the past couple of months, I have loved taking part in Neverland Blog Tours.
