Christmas with LUSH

‘Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful’

Hello, world! I know, I’ve gone awol, again…

But I’m back and hoping to get back into the swing of things. I have missed blogging but as I’ve been super busy with work and getting ready for Christmas, things have dropped off a cliff. Good news though, I have plenty of new content to share with you. And with two whole weeks off work, with not a lot planned, I’m going to be on a writing spree. The first post to share with you is one of my favourites.

Since coming across LUSH, I have fallen in love with their products but with quite an expensive price tag, I can’t purchase everything. I like to treat myself once in a while and what’s better than with a bright and colourful bath bomb to transform you into a different world. I normally purchase their seasonal items, whether that’s Halloween or Christmas, and their beautiful gift sets.

LUSH Blooming Beautiful

I am pretty addicted to purchasing bath products, bath time for me needs to be relaxing and there’s nothing better than dropping in a bath bomb. There are a lot of bath bombs to choose from and one of my favourite places to shop from is LUSH. Since trying my first bath bomb last December, I have surely become addicted and now I like picking up a small collection to treat myself.

In my Monthly Favourites // August, I shared with you my trip to Nottingham and the art trail Hoodwinked 2018 while wandering around I came across that oh so familiar scent of LUSH. I had to pop inside and see if there was anything new and exciting, I came across the Blooming Beautiful giftset that screamed Spring and relaxation. Nothing else took my fancy so Blooming Beautiful it was.

LUSH Spring Haul

I think there’s a theme going on here, recently I visited Westgate in Oxford, a recently remodelled Shopping Centre. Now, it opened late last year, perfect timing for Christmas! For an exploration though, not good timing, I’m not a fan of busy and crowded places, I’ve said to Yasmine since I heard about it’s re-opening, we should go and visit. Finally, we had the opportunity to go visit!

I’m not going to go too much in depth about Westgate and my adventure there, as you’ll see from the title, this post isn’t about that. Some could say it’s about something so much better! That’s right I’m talking about LUSH, somewhere I’ve become addicted too since leaving Plymouth actually. We’re not lucky to have one in Aylesbury, our closest is either Oxford or Milton Keynes. Depending on what way you want to go!

An A-Z of An Ocean Glimmer!

I’m not a very me, me, me person but I do feel that it’s good to get to know the person behind a blog. Recently, I’ve done a few different posts to introduce myself to you, including Things I Love About Motorsports and Things That Make Me Happy. April is turning into the month of getting to know me, Gemma Bray, the girl behind An Ocean Glimmer and today is no different!

At the beginning of this month, I came across An A-Z of Me from Zoe Jackson over at Just Zoe. I fell in love with this post as I found it interesting to pick just one thing that related to each of the 26 letters of the alphabet. Now, it seems like a semi-easy thing to do but I’ve got this feeling that when I actually get stuck in, it won’t be that easy… Like right now, I can’t think of anything for the last couple of letters.

Shall we get started with An A-Z of MeContinue reading “An A-Z of An Ocean Glimmer!”

LUSH Christmas Haul

For Blogmas 2017, I did a first impression post for LUSH Cosmetics, now I know what you are thinking! Gemma, you have only just tried LUSH!? Well, before moving to Aylesbury, I had no bath only a shower, but now I am lucky enough to be able to have a bath every weekend. I won’t explain too much here as you can read all about why in my impression post. Myself and Yasmine have now become addicted to LUSH bath bombs!

As you know, I went down to Plymouth with Yasmine to see in the New Year with her family and our friends. Meaning we couldn’t come back to Aylesbury without some LUSH treats. I was able to take advantage of their January sale, where they had their Christmas products on 50% off! Great right! Everyone went a bit crazy for this sale, I don’t really blame them as you’re saving yourself a lot.

I know it’s a little late now for a LUSH Christmas Haul, but seeing as I didn’t actually buy them until AFTER Christmas, I’ve only just finished using them! Now, shall we get started with this small LUSH Haul?

Bomb Cosmetics Palm Springs

I’ve got a little special post for you today, you know how I’ve only just started using LUSH bath bombs, I know it’s only taken me like forever! But now I’ve come across another bath bomb company, Bomb Cosmetics. I’ve heard a lot about this company, a lot of good things, so I was really excited to try their products. LUSH has some amazing products, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like they are a little expensive.

So I’ve been looking for an alternative that is a reasonable price, as well as amazing quality, something similar to LUSH. If you’ve been following An Ocean Glimmer for a little while, you’ll know that I tried the Wilko own bath bombs, I spoke about them in my August Favourites. But they weren’t actually very exciting, they just turned the water a different colour.

December Favourites

Welcome back everyone! You might have noticed that things have been a little quiet here, as I’ve been on a mini blogger break, this has been a perfect opportunity to enjoy some time with the family. I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year. I don’t know about you, but I’ve definitely eaten a lot of food and been spoilt by my friends and family.

To start the New Year, I thought I would share with you my December Favourites.

Blogmas Day 7 // First Impression: LUSH Cosmetics

I hope you are having a cracking first week of December, can you already believe it’s the seventh! I know I certainly can’t, as each day goes past, I’m definitely getting more excited about Christmas. Today I thought I would share my first thoughts on LUSH with you, I know what you’re probably thinking, where have you been Gemma!?

When I went to Plymouth for my graduation all the way back in October, I took a trip into LUSH to get my hands on some of their bath bombs. As I have never previously had a bathtub until now, bath bombs were pretty useless, but after trying the ones from Wilkinsons, I became pretty addicted!

Meaning I just had to pick some up, I am not new to venturing into LUSH, as I always would go in there with Corinne but never actually bought anything. I was like a kid in a sweet shop trying to decide which bath bombs I wanted to pick up and with Yasmine there, it made it even harder.

Do we go for a small collection of bath bombs? Do we pick up a cute gift set? There’s just so much to chose from.

Blogmas Day 4 // Christmas Wishlist

I do hope December is treating you well! It definitely is feeling a lot more festive and I can not wait to start celebrating Christmas probably. Now for Blogmas Day 4, I wanted to share with you my Christmas Wishlist. It has been hard thinking about items as my birthday was towards the end of last month, so I’ve had to have two lists within a month!

It wasn’t until after choosing these items that I realised how much it was related to! I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing but recently I’ve come across some great brands and I would love to get my hands on them. Also, I always seem to fall in love with things at the same time.

Now without further ado let’s begin my 2017 Christmas Wishlist!

August Favourites

Here we are, another month has gone passed, meaning a whole new list of favourites! I am really excited to share with you what I’ve been loving during August, as you all know I recently moved to Aylesbury and this month marked one whole month here. I have settled in really well and things are looking up for both me and Peter. I can not believe how quickly this year is going, it feels like yesterday that I was getting myself ready to move.

Enough chit chat, let’s get started on my August Favourites;
