The Blogger Tag // Get to know me

I do apologise for the mini-blogging break, again… things have been semi hectic! As I am writing this I am only just recovering from an amazing weekend at Silverstone for the 2019 Formula 1 British Grand Prix. Check out my Instagram for daily photos of my adventures. I have been thinking for a little while about introducing more motorsports orientated posts, if you would be interested in an in-depth post about Silverstone, please let me know down in the comments!

Now though, let’s start today with The Blogger Tag. I love completing these types of posts, I love being nosy and it’s a great way to get to know other people! Created by Abbie over at Abbie Chic the aim of the tag is to get to know other bloggers, each question definitely allows that, also who doesn’t love getting to know other people. I always try to be pretty open about my life, rather than creating someone who I’m not. If you don’t like me for who I am, then I don’t want to know you!

Grab a cup of coffee and some snacks as I have answered the below questions from Abbie, it might just take a little while! I have also tagged some fellow bloggers to join in and answer the same questions on their blog.

Here are my answers…

Must-See Movies of 2019

Around this time last year, I shared my Must-See Movies of 2018. I am such a film buff, I adore anything from family and action to fantasy and sci-fi. 2018 was a great year for movies, some of my favourites were Deadpool 2, Avengers: Infinity War and Venom, they really killed it with all the movies. Some failed at the box office whereas others were a massive hit, I’m looking at you Black Panther.

For 2019, I thought I would do the same and share with you my Must-See Movies of 2019 because let me tell you now, there are some big ones coming out this year! Also, I think 2019 will be the year I go back to my childhood, you’ll find out in a moment what I mean by that. There is definitely a long list of movies for 2019, I’ve had to control myself and limit this list to eight. If I went anymore, we would be here for weeks.

My Love for Comic Books

One of my main loves of being a blogger is being able to speak about anything and everything in one place. An Ocean Glimmer is a place for me to share my thoughts and favourites, to be honest, to share pretty much anything. Today’s post is no different, I try and bring a variety, whether that’s beauty, motorsports and entertainment. You might not know this but I adore comic books!

I have loved reading comic books for long as I remember, over the years, I have taken a really liken to them. Who doesn’t love a comic book!? I would definitely call myself a comic book geek, to be honest, a geek in general. Some people like sports and others like music, for me anything geeky is a must. There are so many reasons to love comic books, from the creativity and characters to how unique the storylines are.

What I Received for Christmas 2018

I’m really excited to share with you today, what I received for Christmas, now I don’t want this to be a ‘show off’ post. I want it to be a reflection of my Christmas and thankful for what I received. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! Mine was lovely, spending it with Yasmine’s family in Plymouth.

There was a good mixture of receiving money and gifts, I swear as you get older it’s harder for gifts. I really struggled last year, when I was creating my lists I wanted to include items that I needed rather than wanting just for the hell of it. With that in mind, I think this list is a good reflection of that.

Enough chit-chat, let’s get started:

Before we go full steam ahead for October, let’s first review SeptemberSeptember was a great month, it’s definitely starting to slow down in the activities I am doing, it was quite hard to come up with a lengthy Favourites post like recent posts. An Introduction To: Blogger Book Nook

I have some very exciting news to share with you, I am now apart of a community called Blogger Book Nook! I thought I would introduce you to this community today as I’ve fallen in love with it and there are some great bloggers involved. Growing up reading was something I always struggled with, my English skills were very poor. Until one of my teachers actually helped me and recommended some authors to improve my reading skills.

This is where my love for Jacqueline Wilson started and I still enjoy reading her books. Now I am pretty much addicted to reading! Whether it be DC Comics or Marvel and supernatural thrillers, I love to be sucked into a different universe. Recently though I’ve had to stop reading as much as I used to, thanks to the time I didn’t have during university. With me finishing my third year in May, I’ve now had a lot more time to actually read, as you know from my monthly book reviews with Neverland Blog Tours.

Now enough chit chat, shall we get started?

September 2017 – Video Games Day

One side of me that I don’t write too much about on An Ocean Glimmer, is my Geeky/Nerd side. I am a massive lover of all things Marvel and DC Comics, as well as playing video games! This is where today comes in, I thought it was very fitting to celebrate Video Games Day, who even knew this was a thing. I definitely did not until I came across it.

For long as I can remember, I’ve had some form of gaming controller in my hand, be it a PlayStation or even Xbox. Who remembers the Dreamcast? My all-time favourite console that I feel was definitely before its time! I’ve been very fortunate to grow up with a console, with my uncle a gamer as well, I’ve picked up a lot from him. I always used to play Halo and Dead or Alive with him!

August 2017 – Book Lovers Day

Since finishing university, I’ve had a lot more time on my hands, for this I’ve managed to read a lot more, one of my favourite hobbies! During my semesters, I would read books after books, but these would be boring books for my assignments. I lost interest in reading for fun as well as just not having enough time. If you’ve been following An Ocean Glimmer for a while, you’ll know that I’ve been taking part in some book blog tours.

These have fueled my reading needs and has shown me just how much I’ve missed reading for pleasure. Which is why I’m currently loving today, because it is Book Lovers Day! There are many different ways you can celebrate Book Lovers Day because we are all different, we need some that will fuel all our needs. You can read some of your favourite books, maybe something from your childhood that you loved or what about a trip to your local library and just sit there for hours and read all kinds of books.
