Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020!
Not only is it a New Year but it’s also a new decade! I hope you had a lovely start to January, it’s one of my favourite months of the year as it’s perfect for reviewing what happened and how you can improve. Also, it’s really quiet! I love this as I can wind down before the excitement of the Summer which is one of the fast pace times of the year. Also, I’m able to catch up on my blogging game!
Before we move forward to 2020, I thought it would be good to look back on 2019 and review my favourite moments. I know I shared my Monthly Favourites, well most months, so really it’s just one big summary of all those months. I would be here forever if I shared EVERYTHING. So I’ll only be sharing one or two special moments from the month. Some months this was hard as soo much happened!
Hello, there July!
Can you believe it’s already July? I’m so excited for the upcoming month, Summer is officially here! How long is it here to stay though? July brings with it a stream of exciting weekends, my July Favourites are sure to be packed and full. The countdown is officially on for the 2019 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, I am very excited for this, it’s the biggest event on my calendar each year.
Before heading into July, now is the perfect time to reflect on the previous month, I love doing this by sharing my Monthly Favourites with you! It’s time to reflect on what happened in June. Thankfully, I’m able to speak about a range of different things, a lot went on and I’m excited to share them with you today. There are even a couple of product Favourites, instead of just being all about the events.
It’s great to have a Goal in mind, not just a daily or weekly one but yearly as well. I love creating Goals, I feel so inspired and it’s a great way to continue achieving. Back in January, I shared with you my 2019 Personal Goals, here I outlined exactly what I wanted to achieve over the course of the year. Now we’re nearly in May, it’s the perfect time to reflect on my Personal Goals and provide an update on progress.
I know I share my Monthly Goals but this doesn’t show the overall year story. When I’m setting my Monthly Goals, I try and keep my 2019 Goals in mind. It can be hard achieving your Goals, especially if it’s one you want to achieve in one year. Your Goals can be a lot easier to achieve if you think about them monthly. If you don’t create Monthly Goals, I would recommend starting now.

I can’t believe it’s March! Before we move forward to the new month though, now is a good time to reflect on the previous month and what happened. There is no better way of doing that than with my Monthly Favourites, it’s time to reflect on what happened in February. It’s incredible what you get up to in a month as well as the new products you are exposed to.

I can’t believe it’s February! Where on earth did January go? Before we move forward to February though, I need to reflect on January. There is no better way of doing that than my Monthly Favourites. I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I posted the This Time Next Year Tag 2018 on An Ocean Glimmer. What is the This Time Next Year Tag I hear you say? Well, it’s a tag created by Sarah Lemmon, aka Little Reader, it’s basically inspired by a British TV Show where you see people present their goals for next year. Then it flashes forward 365 days later to see if they have achieved them.
This is how the tag will work:
- Thank the person who tagged you
- Write your goals for next year
- Write how you’re going to achieve your goals
- Tag at least 5 of your blogger friends to share their goals
- Then if you wish in 365 days write a post for everyone to see if you have been successful or not!
Here we are, the beginning of a new month, can you believe that it’s now September. I know I can’t! We are slowly approaching my favourite season, Autumn, I can not wait for the coming weeks. Jumpers, hot chocolate and cosy nights in, what more could a girl as for. Before jumping too far into the future, we first need to review what happened in August and let me tell you, there’s a couple of good ones.

Where on earth did June go!? When the time comes to write my Monthly Favourites, it always feels like yesterday that I was writing the previous month. June has always been a great month, it’s that time of year when your feet don’t seem to touch the floor there always seems to be something going on. Looking back, every weekend I have been out and about, which is a great problem to have, especially after so long of not being able to do anything.
I’m really excited to share my Favourites with you but with the power of social media, I’m sure you’ve already seen most of what I’m going to share with you.
Now, I’m sure if you really know me, you’ll know that I’m a massive fan of cars, of course, this goes hand in hand with my love for Motorsports. For the past three years, I have been the happy owner of an MG ZR in what seems to be the only colour they produced, Trophy Blue. There are still plenty of these on the road but some look worse for wear than others.
Since owning my little baby, I have been in love with her and when I give her some love, her colour truly pops! I have always received compliments for my car, even though underneath, I know she’s not the best she could be. One thing I love doing is cleaning her, but to do this, you need the correct products to really make her look beautiful as well as keeping her in good nick especially as she’s fifteen years old this year!
It’s always nice walking into a car dealer showroom and being able to choose your very own car, but unfortunately, not all of us are able to purchase a brand new car! Sometimes we look at alternatives to purchasing a car, looking on sites like Gumtree or even popping down to your local garage. In reality, buying a second-hand car can be a very painful experience!
I can speak from experience as the first car I purchased, a Peugeot 106, failed its first MOT with myself. The cost to get the work done to get it road legal was more than the car was worth! Here, I learnt the hard way of buying second-hand, from now on there are some handy tips that I will be sticking with every time I think about purchasing a second-hand car.
I thought I would share those with you today!
