2020 Personal Goals Update

I cannot believe we’re already over half way through 2020, like where is the year going! Also I don’t even feel like I’ve achieved or done that much to be honest this year, and I suppose that’s kinda true with the whole lockdown and Coronavirus thing. At the moment, every month is definitely rolling into one, during lockdown, I even lost track of days. I’m glad I’m finally back into a ‘normal’. I hope you and your family are all keeping well.

Back in January, I shared with you my 2020 Personal Goals, here I outlined exactly what I wanted to achieve over the course of the year. Now we’re nearly in August, I thought it would be the perfect time to reflect on my Personal Goals and provide an update on progress. It also helps me to know where I am with my Goals and with five months remaining in 2020, if I have yet to achieve something that I set out at the beginning of the year, then I’ve definitely got the time too!

I know I share my Monthly Goals but this doesn’t show the overall year story. When I’m setting my Monthly Goals, I try and keep my 2020 Goals in mind. It can be hard achieving your Goals, especially if it’s one you want to achieve in one year. Your Goals can be a lot easier to achieve if you think about them monthly but then also break them down to weekly and daily. If you don’t create Monthly Goals, now, more than ever, is a great time to start creating Monthly Goals!

2020 Blogging Goals

Last week, I shared my 2020 Personal Goals, it’s now time for my 2020 Blogging Goals. A range of Goals that I would love to achieve over the course of 2020 with my blog and social media platforms. 2019 was an OK year for An Ocean Glimmer, the only milestone I achieved was reaching 20k all-time views. Unfortunately, it was an up and down year, with some months not even posting once!

I have everything crossed for 2020, I’m very excited to see what happens this year. Let’s hope it’s a good one. From where I am now, things can only go up! I have all of January mapped out and already some plans in place for February. I know that the barrier to new content will come soon though, if there’s anything, in particular, you would love to see on An Ocean Glimmer, please let me know in the comments!

2020 Personal Goals

It’s no surprise that I love creating Goals, over the past twelve months, I have shared with you my Monthly Goals, these, in turn, help me to achieve both my Personal and Blogging Goals. January is the perfect month to create Goals for the whole year. Of course, that’s because it is, in fact, the start of the year! Also, there’s just something fresh and exciting about January.

Today, I am reflecting on my Personal Goals that I set at the beginning of 2019 and then creating new ones for 2020. 2019 was the first year I did this and to be honest, I’m very glad I did! It helped me to stay on track in the year and who doesn’t love achieving something. Then each month I’m helping to keep on track with my Goals by breaking them down monthly.

This Time Next Year Tag 2020

Has it really been one whole year since I posted This Time Next Year Tag 2019 on An Ocean Glimmer? 2019 went super quick, I still cannot believe it’s a new year and new decade. I can remember when I first shared the This Time Next Year Tag all the way back in 2017, that was when I first came across the tag and fell in love with the idea behind it.

What is the This Time Next Year Tag I hear you say? Well, it’s a tag created by Sarah Lemmon, aka Little Reader, it’s basically inspired by a British TV Show where you see people present their goals for next year. Then it flashes forward 365 days later to see if they have achieved them.

I’ll also be reviewing my Personal Goals and Blogging Goals for 2019 that I set at the beginning of the year. Stay tuned for that post.

Introduction: Mål Paper*

[AD GIFTED]

I did mention I wanted to share more stationery orientated posts on An Ocean Glimmer and I’m doing just that! I am always so proud of my blog, even more so when companies reach out to me and that’s the reason behind today’s post. It’s an introduction post to Mål Paper, a stationery company that produces stylish and simplistic stationery that helps to be more productive by focusing our minds on the most important tasks.

Their range of products is the result of seeking a solution to solve the common problem of jumping from one task to the next, without prioritising them or even completing the previous task. They were tired of having countless ‘to-do’ lists on notepads, notebooks and journals that did nothing more than complicate goals and tasks further, to the point of feeling overwhelmed and uninspired to hold themselves accountable.
