Monthly Goals // June 2019

Goodbye May, Hello June!

I hope you’ve had a lovely start to June. As it’s the beginning of a new month, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the Goals I set myself at the beginning of May. Then create new Goals for June, I’m really excited about the upcoming month. I already have loads planned! I don’t think I’m home for one single weekend, it’s going to be a long but fun month.

As I explained recently in my 2019 Personal Goals Update, creating new Goals each month helps you to stay on top of what you want to achieve for the year. If you want to see what I got up to in May, I have shared my adventures in my Monthly Favourites // May 2019 here. It’s great to review and reflect each month, sometimes you even forget what you’ve done.

I love this time of the month as it’s exciting to take part and most of the time, introduce yourself to a new genre or even book. I’m thankful for the Reading Challenge being different each month to find something new each month.

This month’s Reading Challenge is Fantasy!

We receive our monthly Reading Challenge from either Abbey or Tabitha, two of the kindest girls, on the Facebook page. Here we have some great conversations and are able to talk books! This is also the perfect opportunity to get to know new bloggers, ones that have a similar interest, books and reading.

Blogger Book Nook #10 // Summer Holiday Romance

Can you believe that there have been a total of 10 Reading Challenge from the Blogger Book Nook! It felt like yesterday that I joined the club and now here we are. I don’t think I’ve missed uploading a post but unfortunately, a few don’t feature book reviews as life has got in the way.

This month’s Reading Challenge is Summer Holiday Romance! Now that the weather is starting to warm up, Abbey & Tabitha thought it would be fun to celebrate that classic romance read you read whilst away on holiday. There’s nothing better by the poolside than a little bit of romance, pick up a cocktail in one hand, and a light and fluffy romantic novel in the other!

We receive our monthly Reading Challenge from either Abbey or Tabitha, two of the kindest girls, on the Facebook page. Here we have some great conversations and are able to talk books! This is also the perfect opportunity to get to know new bloggers, ones that have a similar interest, books and reading.

Blogger Book Nook #9 // Time Machine

I swear 2018 is going really quick, like can you believe it’s already May. This month is going to be a busy and hopefully fun one, I’m going to be creating some great memories this month with Yasmine. A new month means there’s a new Reading Challenge created by the Blogger Book Nook. This month’s Reading Challenge is a little different and something special.

May is the birthday month for both Tabitha and Abbey, Happy Birthday to the both of you! Meaning they wanted to pick their favourite genre Historical Fiction. Hop in your time machine and pick a read that’s set in the past – whether it’s as early as the 90’s or if you go back thousands of years, the choice is yours! I’m excited to indulge in a book of this genre, as it’s definitely an interesting genre.

We receive our monthly Reading Challenge from either Abbey or Tabitha, two of the kindest girls, on the Facebook page. Here we have some great conversations and are able to talk books! With a new month here, it means it’s time to set some new Goals for the upcoming month. I love writing down my Goals each month as it really helps me to stay on target for my 2018 Personal and Blogging Goals. I’ve had a lovely April, you can find out what I’ve been loving here with my April Favourites. Here, I share with you what I’ve been up to as well as products I’ve been loving.

For today’s post though, it’s all about my Monthly Goals! I’ve had a really strong month, I have achieved a lot of different things, but are they the same as what I set out to achieve at the beginning of April. It’s good to also reflect on your previous Goals, this helps to see if you’ve been on target throughout the month and gives you an indication of where you need to go for the next month.

Before I set myself some new Goals for May, let’s reflect on my April Goals!

May 2018 – Get Caught Reading Month

It only feels like yesterday that it was January, now we’re starting May. Spring is definitely here and hopefully, it will stick around for a little while. I’m really enjoying sharing with you different National Day/Month, you get to learn something new and exciting. May marks Get Caught Reading Month, a nationwide campaign to promote the fun of reading books for all ages.

The campaign was launched in 1999 by the Association of American Publishers and now managed by Every Child a Reader with support from the Lois Lenski Covey Foundation. To celebrate Get Caught Reading Month is really easy you just need to dig your nose into a book and forget about the concerns of other peoples’ opinions. Get Caught Reading Month is a great chance to meet other bibliophiles as well!
