Blogger Book Nook #9 // Time Machine

I swear 2018 is going really quick, like can you believe it’s already May. This month is going to be a busy and hopefully fun one, I’m going to be creating some great memories this month with Yasmine. A new month means there’s a new Reading Challenge created by the Blogger Book Nook. This month’s Reading Challenge is a little different and something special.

May is the birthday month for both Tabitha and Abbey, Happy Birthday to the both of you! Meaning they wanted to pick their favourite genre Historical Fiction. Hop in your time machine and pick a read that’s set in the past – whether it’s as early as the 90’s or if you go back thousands of years, the choice is yours! I’m excited to indulge in a book of this genre, as it’s definitely an interesting genre.

We receive our monthly Reading Challenge from either Abbey or Tabitha, two of the kindest girls, on the Facebook page. Here we have some great conversations and are able to talk books! This is also the perfect opportunity to get to know new bloggers, ones that have a similar interest, books and reading.

9 Things That Make Me Happy

Something that is good to do once in a while is think about the things that make you happy, it’s good to appreciate the things and people that are around you. I swear there isn’t enough self-love and thinking about the things around you, sometimes you don’t realise how much you love something until it’s gone.

Today I thought it would be nice to share what makes me happy, there’s a variety of things that if I didn’t have or were gone from my life, I would definitely miss!

Blogger Book Nook #5 // Judging a Book by its Cover

Here we go, another month means it’s time for January’s Reading Challenge for the Blogger Book Nook. I’ve really enjoyed being a part of this reading community as it’s really pushed me to read each month! Before I wanted to read but I just haven’t had the time, with this community though they are all supportive and it’s a great motivation to read.

This month’s Reading Challenge is Judging a Book by its Cover. Challenging us to pick up a new book purely based on the cover. We receive our monthly Reading Challenge from either Abbey or Tabitha, two of the kindest girls, on the Facebook page. Here we have some great conversations and are able to talk books! This is also the perfect opportunity to get to know new bloggers, ones that have a similar interest, books and reading.

Right, let’s get on with January’s Reading Challenge.

Goodbye Plymouth

I’m sorry things haven’t been perfect on An Ocean Glimmer at the moment, I’ve just been a little preoccupied with moving to a different part of the United Kingdom. Some of you may know that I used to live in Plymouth, a city in the South West of England. I have lived here my whole life, I have ever only known one house, so it’s been a pretty big thing to move five hours.

As I was receiving offers for interviews around the London/Reading area, I thought it would be good to live with my Uncle in Aylesbury. This does mean though I won’t be living with my parents, sisters and the puppy dog, who I will miss dearly. This all means more differences in my life, something I’m needing to get used to. But it’s all a part of growing up, I’m really excited by this especially to experience it with the partner

I feel like I’ve finally settled in and things are looking bright for myself and Peter, who also moved from Plymouth to live with myself in Aylesbury. Which means a new chapter in our lives together, something that I’m hoping will go well. Seeing as I lived in Plymouth for 21 years, I thought I would sum up some of the things I would miss.

Life Update – I’m Back!

Good news guys, I am back! I’m sorry for not being around the whole of May, there’s been a lot going on in my life. If you follow me on either Twitter or Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve officially finished university! Woop, woop! This is another reason for not blogging, but I am pleased to say, there will be one post at least once a week.

You may be lucky and have two, all depending on if I’ve got good content to produce for you. Another big milestone in my life currently is the big move! Now, my Dad has officially left the Royal Navy, which means as a family we have to move as we live in a Navy property. Meaning, we are moving five hours up the road! I live in Plymouth, a city in the South West, my family all live in the Midlands.
