Christmas, there are things to love and there are things to hate! Just like any holiday during the year. This time of year is definitely not all about unwrapping presents and eating all the food in the world, there are family dramas, presents not turning up and the mad rush at the supermarket, to name but a few things.
Today I thought I would express a few of my pet peeves when it comes to Christmas.

Here we go, it’s Friday 1 December meaning the first day of Blogmas! I am really excited to start and I hope you enjoy it this month. Right, to kick off Blogmas, I am going to share with you my November Favourites. If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know I’ve been pretty busy this month, there’s been a lot going and it’s all a little different.
I thought I would write about something a little different today, you’ll know how big a motorsports fan I am! I am always chatting about it on my social media platforms and I always seem to be at a race circuit. Which is a great thing as this is what I would love to do in the future! Recently I became a member of Dare to be Different, now if you’re not interested in motorsports, you might not have heard about this initiative.
Today I thought I would introduce you to Dare to be Different after attending one of their Community Connect Events over the weekend. In January 2016, Susie Wolff launched Dare to be Different a community for women who work in, or want to work in, any aspect of motorsports. The community was launched in partnership with the Motor Sport Association and their main aim, to drive female talent.
I’m sure it’s no surprise that I am a MASSIVE fan of The Body Shop, I am always sharing my thoughts on their products and I am always tweeting about them. Today, I will be sharing with you my thoughts on their latest release, the Vanilla Pumpkin range. This range was released at the end of September, seems fitting with it being Autumn as well as Halloween! Everyone was raving about it on Twitter, so I knew I had to get my hands on it, I also love when The Body Shop release themed ranges.
When I first saw it on Twitter, it wasn’t available in store, only online. I didn’t want to take the chance of buying it and not liking it! When I visited my Body Shop in Aylesbury, the store assistant was really kind and allowed me to smell the Body Butter, which instantly made me want it! First thoughts I wasn’t 100% sure, but after a little while, the scent did grow on me. She even said herself how she wasn’t sure on it but after a while, it grew on her. One of the main reasons I love The Body Shop is because of their Love Your Body Club.
I know what you’re all thinking, Christmas! But it’s only October, well I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s seen all the Christmas cards, chocolate, presents already in the shops! I think we’re all starting to celebrate Christmas a little earlier, instead of it being after Halloween, everything starts appearing in September. As you can already tell by the heading, I’m going to be showing you some of the products you can get your hands on from MAD Beauty this Christmas.
I received a very good selection of just some of the products you can put on your Christmas wishlist, from Bon Bon Bath Fizzers from their Modern Christmas collection to a Hand Care Set in the scent Cranberry, three cute little Lip Balms and latest Rose Bath Petals from their Disney Beauty & the Beast Collection. When I opened the parcel, it felt a lot like Christmas! The packaging all screams Christmas, it felt like a little early for this parcel though.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve always celebrated Christmas after my Birthday on 25 November. It just makes sense, to be honest. The Bath Petals were a little random to receive with the other products but at the same time, I was excited to have received them. Before I get into the Christmas Haul, I want to chat a little about MAD Beauty, they are the leader in design led cosmetics for both the gift and professional sectors. With them all working tirelessly to provide a wide range of novel, fun and interesting products.
I am really excited to share with you today’s post! Remember that little Blogger Book Nook I introduced you to earlier this month? Well, that was September’s Reading Challenge so you are lucky this month as there will be two posts as today I am introducing you to October’s Reading Challenge! I am really enjoying being a part of this community, everyone is really friendly and I’ve been getting along with them all very well. There is always fresh content on their Facebook page.
Be it content from other bloggers, questions of the day and just general chit chat! I am very excited by this month’s Reading Challenge as it fits in very nicely with what is happening at the end of the month! Yup, that’s right, I am speaking about Halloween, meaning a Spooktacular theme for October. Now I adore Halloween, don’t get me wrong, but I am not the biggest fan of scary movies. I think the scariest I’ve watched is stuff like The Walking Dead! I could never watch It, The Shining or even Saw.
Last month was the first month I introduced a post featuring my Goals for the upcoming month, I loved creating this post for you guys, I thought I would continue it! Not only will I set out goals for the new month, but also reflect on the previous month. If you didn’t read my September Goals, why not!? You can update yourself here, as I won’t be going into too much detail regarding last month’s Goals here. Definitely, go read them before reading my October Goals.
Can you believe that it’s the start of a new month? The leaves are starting to fall, candles are being lit and comfy jumpers are out! This must mean one thing, October is here. October is one of my favourite months, with both my Birthday and Christmas just around the corner, not to mention Halloween as well! For me Autumn is certainly one of the best months.
I do prefer the cold over the heat sometimes of our Summer, that’s actually when we do have a Summer here in the United Kingdom! With the beginning of a new month, comes my Favourites! I can not wait to share with you what I’ve been loving during September. It’s definitely been a hectic month for me, I will speak about this a little in my October Goals on Friday, so look out for that post.
I have some very exciting news to share with you, I am now apart of a community called Blogger Book Nook! I thought I would introduce you to this community today as I’ve fallen in love with it and there are some great bloggers involved. Growing up reading was something I always struggled with, my English skills were very poor. Until one of my teachers actually helped me and recommended some authors to improve my reading skills.
This is where my love for Jacqueline Wilson started and I still enjoy reading her books. Now I am pretty much addicted to reading! Whether it be DC Comics or Marvel and supernatural thrillers, I love to be sucked into a different universe. Recently though I’ve had to stop reading as much as I used to, thanks to the time I didn’t have during university. With me finishing my third year in May, I’ve now had a lot more time to actually read, as you know from my monthly book reviews with Neverland Blog Tours.
Now enough chit chat, shall we get started?
I am a massive sucker for perfumes, whenever I’m out and about, they’ll be some kind of fruity smell around me. I can never leave the house without having some kind of perfume on me, so when Nic Mastenbroek approached me asking if I would love to try Firedance I jumped at the chance! Firedance is the fourth perfume created by Ruth Mastenbroek, mother of Nic and a niche perfumer from England.
Her love for perfume began when she worked in the fragrance department at Selfridges, she has now been composing perfumes for 40years. Each of her creations she seeks perfection, her perfumes are all masterpieces, with them taking 2-3 years to craft. Through her perfumes, she wants to tell stories about life, stories of freedom, love, discovery and celebration.
