Hello, there August!
Can you believe it’s already August? Please just slow down! Before I realise my birthday will be here and then it will be the end of 2019. There have been back to back adventures each weekend in July, another reason for the month going crazy fast. I don’t think I would want it any other way though! Also with work getting busier, that is also making my time go quicker. It truly is going by in a flash.
Before heading into August, now is the perfect time to reflect on the previous month, I love doing this by sharing my Monthly Favourites with you! It’s time to reflect on what happened in July. Thankfully, I’m able to speak about a range of different things, a lot went on and I’m excited to share them with you today, if you follow me on Instagram, you might just know what I’m talking about.

Goodbye September! Hello October!
I’m really happy for October to be here as there are so many great things planned, I am pretty much busy each weekend. I thought October would start to slow down, oh how was I wrong. Autumn is here and it’s time to start getting festive, both for Halloween, my Birthday next month and finally, yes Christmas. I’ve had a really good September and have definitely felt good about myself.
Despite being really busy, thankfully I have been able to achieve quite a lot of my Goals. I have proved that if I put my mind to it, I can achieve, I have pushed myself and have been rewarded. I attended my last event at Silverstone this season as a Race Maker, visited Western Super Mare with my MG Rover family and work has been hectic as anything. I have shared my adventures in my Monthly Favourites // Septemer 2018 here.
Can you believe it’s October? Seriously where on earth is 2018 going, it’s officially Autumn, Halloween is just around the corner, it’s nearly my birthday and before you know it, Christmas is here. I hope you’re all having a great start to the month, October is one of my favourite months and I’m super excited for the upcoming month.
Before we go full steam ahead for October, let’s first review September. September was a great month, it’s definitely starting to slow down in the activities I am doing, it was quite hard to come up with a lengthy Favourites post like recent posts. I am really enjoying sharing my Favourites with you.
Despite either watching motorsports or attending events at Silverstone pretty much every weekend, I don’t near enough share motorsports content on An Ocean Glimmer. I am such a massive fan of Formula 1, World Endurance Championship and British Touring Car Championship, all championships that I fall in love more each time I watch. This passion led to me becoming a Silverstone Race Maker, I’ve spoken about this volunteer program just a couple of times here, showing my passion and exactly how much I love it!
I even shared an Introduction post here, before continuing this post you should definitely read this. I’m going into more detail about this program for this post. I haven’t done a post like this before, but I thought it would be good to share my typical day, including what happens and exactly what this program is all about. Of course, one event to the next can be different depending on the event. With this post, I’m just going to be generic. I hope you enjoy!
I’m not sure about you, but July has been an amazing month! I knew it was going to be an exciting and busy month, this month always seems to go fast. I swear every weekend I was doing something if you follow me on my social media channels, I’m sure you already know what I’m speaking about! Where on earth did June go!? When the time comes to write my Monthly Favourites, it always feels like yesterday that I was writing the previous month. June has always been a great month, it’s that time of year when your feet don’t seem to touch the floor there always seems to be something going on. Looking back, every weekend I have been out and about, which is a great problem to have, especially after so long of not being able to do anything.
I’m really excited to share my Favourites with you but with the power of social media, I’m sure you’ve already seen most of what I’m going to share with you.
We’re heading in June, the official start of Summer! Recently though, it seems like we’ve skipped Spring and headed straight into Summer with the weather we’ve had. A new month means it’s time to share with you my favourites, for me May has been a busy month, I think every weekend I’ve been doing something. This is definitely not changing heading into June.

Can you believe it, it’s officially May! May is one of my favourite months as things start to pick up, there are different car events to attend and it’s starting to get warmer. I’ve had a great April, there’s been a lot going on and I’m glad to finally be doing things outside of work. Least with the weather getting better, I can! I’m not a very me, me, me person but I do feel that it’s good to get to know the person behind a blog. Recently, I’ve done a few different posts to introduce myself to you, including Things I Love About Motorsports and Things That Make Me Happy. April is turning into the month of getting to know me, Gemma Bray, the girl behind An Ocean Glimmer and today is no different!
At the beginning of this month, I came across An A-Z of Me from Zoe Jackson over at Just Zoe. I fell in love with this post as I found it interesting to pick just one thing that related to each of the 26 letters of the alphabet. Now, it seems like a semi-easy thing to do but I’ve got this feeling that when I actually get stuck in, it won’t be that easy… Like right now, I can’t think of anything for the last couple of letters.
