Have I ever said how much I adore Spring? This season makes me happy! I swear this time of year does wonders for everything! With longer and warmer days it’s no surprise really. Normally this would also mean more adventures… but I’m sure you all know how well that is going! I’m not going to mention the thing that shall not be mentioned – I’m sure you all know what I’m talking about.
It’s been over one year since I shared what’s in my backpack so I thought now would be a good time to share again what’s in my handbag but a Winter edition. I’m sure you’ll notice one change, I’m talking about a handbag and not a backpack anymore! I’m actually quite impressed with myself how long I kept the backpack for. That’s probably why it was looking a bit sorry for itself.
This handbag is pretty big! I carry so much around with me, you’ll notice that from this post. A big handbag is a must for me! I cannot have anything smaller unless I’m going out for the evening, I only own one small handbag but it can still fit my purse, notebook and all my essential items. I am a nosy one, I love looking into people’s bags and I hope you like this post too.
Hello, hello! I know, you’ve probably been thinking, where on earth has she been?
Well, I’m back, I know it’s been a while, things have been pretty busy! But as Winter is fast approaching, I’m less busy and can put the time back into An Ocean Glimmer. Of course, this leads to a perfect timing with my Monthly Favourites for October. It was a great month and to be honest, I don’t know where it went!
It was another month of packed weekends going out on adventures. I know I haven’t shared these adventures on Instagram like I would normally, to be honest, the month has just gone past in a blur. I have my fingers crossed that I can change this for November and I’ll be back in the Instagram and blogging game once again.
Just because I’m a little excited, hello November!
Netflix has been killing it recently! They have some amazing programmes and movies you should definitely watch. I pretty much watch something day in, day out on Netflix. I have been truly addicted to some, weekends are great as I pretty much watch a whole season in one sitting. Before you realise there are no more episodes and you’re waiting five months for the next season.
The last time I shared my Favourite Netflix Series was back in December 2017! A lot has happened and changed since then, now is a perfect time to share my Current Netflix Top Picks. I’m really excited to share these with you today, please let me know down in the comments if you’ve watched any of these yourself. They’re all pretty different from one another, I love the diversity of programmes.
Moving from Winter to Spring is probably the wrong time of year, it’s great watching Netflix during the colder months. It’s lovely sitting on the sofa, with a blanket, maybe even cuddling up with your loved one and watching a movie on Netflix, or even binge-watching one of their many series. Now it’s starting to warm up, I will be watching less so hopefully nothing much good and exciting comes out!

I am so excited for the upcoming month. I have some great things planned, but before we can move forward to the new month, now is a great time to reflect on the previous month. I love doing this by sharing my Monthly Favourites with you! It’s time to reflect on what happened in March. It’s not until the end of the month that I realised exactly what I’ve been up to and the products I’ve been loving.

Now I know to most people believe we’ve had Spring for a couple of weeks. For me, I believe 20 March 2019 is the first day Spring. We’ve had an interesting start to March, with Storm Freya gracing us with her presence. We’re on Day 6 of the Astronomical Spring, I thought I would continue the theme of Self-Care and looking after yourself this Spring, by sharing a couple of Self-Care ideas.
Last week, I shared with you my face mask collection, a perfect addition to any pamper evening. Spring is the perfect time to reevaluate your routine and add in new products, also there’s something about Spring and the freshness of everything. Animals are being born, flowers are blooming and it’s the perfect time to think about yourself. Spring is a magical time of the year.
It’s February, can you believe how quick the year is going? I have had a lovely January, I hope the past month has treated you well. Today I am going to be reflecting on the Goals I set myself at the beginning of January. I love reflecting and creating new Goals each month, there’s something about it that makes me more determined to achieve them.
There are no resolutions for me, it’s all about setting Goals to succeed throughout the year. My Monthly Goals always relate to the bigger picture of my Personal Goals and Blogging Goals for the year. I love creating new Goals, it’s just something about them, it also makes sure you’re on target and also it’s helpful to keep remembering the bigger picture and those Goals.
I love a good Secret Santa, it’s a good way of spreading Christmas cheer at the same time as having fun with the people around you. Last year, I noticed a couple of Bloggers Secret Santa, unfortunately, I was too late to participate. I’ve heard some great things about it and it’s great to spread Christmas cheer within the blogging community.
We’re all one big family so it’s great to gift to one another as well as sending Christmas cards. This year, luck was on my side and I joined the Bloggers Secret Santa hosted by Casey over at casestreetx. I was very excited to join and couldn’t wait to start chatting with the other bloggers as a group message was set up on Twitter.

This Christmas, why not visit a small business to purchase your gifts from, over the past couple of months I’ve brought from a couple of small businesses. There are so many good businesses out there that hopefully will allow you to shop for almost anyone. Also, I don’t know about you but I swear it leaves such a good feeling in yourself.
I always try to explore places such as Etsy to come across gifts, with a simple search you can uncover a variety of gifts. Just be careful you don’t spend the whole day searching, once you start, it’s very hard to stop. I have got lost in Etsy a couple of times, thankfully I do purchase a couple of things, maybe more than I should have.

I hope you’re having a lovely December, it’s not long now until Christmas. I cannot believe where December has gone! I’m really excited and can’t wait to visit Plymouth, it’s always weird going back home, in a good way though. Today I am sharing The Winter Tag, let’s get into the festive mood.
I always find them a good way to get to know a blogger and also I love thinking about the questions. Sometimes they can really make you think, in the past, I’ve really struggled to answer and find a good answer.
