Tea Tree Skin Care Range from The Body Shop

If you’ve been following An Ocean Glimmer for a little while, you’ll know that I use a couple of products from the Tea Tree skin care range from The Body Shop. I posted a review of their Tea Tree range over a year ago when I first started using their products. I thought I would update you as there have been some new introductions to my routine. Before we get into this review, I just wanted to give you a little background.

I suffer from blemished skin, I have always been trying to find a routine that works for me. It’s been tricky as nothing I purchased was working or did the opposite effect and made my skin worse. It got to the point where I was really suffering, meaning I had to go a little bit more upmarket to find a solution.

This is where my trip to The Body Shop came in, I’m not going to bore you too much with what you might have already read so let’s get started with my new routine!

Since moving to Aylesbury, I’ve noticed a change in my skin now I’m not sure if this is due to the weather or water. With having sensitive skin any little changes can cause my skin to flare up. From here I did some research to have a look at the other products The Body Shop have to offer. Their Tea Tree range is quite big and there are not just the three products I originally spoke about.

Of course, a little while after having the three main products, Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser, Mattifying Toner and Mattifying Lotion, I purchased the Night Lotion which I spoke about in my January Favourites. This helped me to continue my routine into the evening, but I felt there was still something missing from my routine. I didn’t exactly know what I was looking for but felt I needed to purchase some more of the Tea Tree range.

I purchased the Anti Imperfection Daily SolutionSkin Clearing Clay Mask and Targeted Gel. I’m really glad I purchased these products as again I have seen a small difference. Of course, my blemished skin is not completely gone! But it’s definitely looking a little better. After using the three main products, I use the Anti Imperfection Daily Solution, such a simple product to use.

It does say to use your fingertips but I’ve found it easy to use the cotton pads, just add a couple of drops and use it on affected areas. If there are any spots that are looking a little raw, I use the Targeted Gel, this does exactly what it says on the tin! Is it weird to say that as soon as I used it, I could feel it working? There’s some kind of weird tingling feeling. Something similar to when you put cream on your skin when you have a cut.

I can’t think of a time where I bought this range when it’s not on some kind of offer! Be it 3 for 2, buy one get one-half price, I only seem to buy it on offer. Like it’s a reasonable price for each product but if you’re buying seven products like me, it sure does add up! I don’t have to buy all seven products each time because they aren’t all meant for daily use.

The Skin Clearing Clay Mask is designed to be used twice a week, the Targeted Gel I only use when I have bad spots. I definitely would not go back to my old routine because I can see the difference and it definitely calms down my skin. I’ve used the mask a couple of times now and I fell in love with it on my first try. I’ve never used something like this before so it was a little weird shall I say!

The Clay Mask feels amazing! It starts tingling on your face, this means it’s working right? I should hope so and it’s not the other way around, it feels amazing and leaves my skin afterwards feeling fresh. Which is such a nice feeling, especially as I use this mask to wind down in the evening. As you can tell if you’ve been following my blog for a while, I sure do love products from The Body Shop.

Most of my beauty products come from The Body Shop, including Shower Gel, Body Butter and Hand Cream. Yasmine is ADDICTED to their Body Butter, we are always going in there to purchase a new one. But their Tea Tree range is definitely one of my favourites. What I love is how all the products in the range work together, I would say there’s a certain way to use them.

I feel one without the other, wouldn’t make them to effectively work together, I would definitely recommend using this range if you’re struggling with blemished skin because it’s worked pretty well for me! The products are pretty easy to use as well, like yes it’s four different products to use in the morning but with them being easy to use, it doesn’t take that long.

I have never had any problems with asking the staff instore, they are all very friendly and helpful. Meaning if you have any worries, I would say just ask them. They are there to help you and when I first asked about these products, they were very helpful. Explained the products to me as well as how to use them correctly.

I hope you have enjoyed this post! I love chatting about The Body Shop but most importantly their Tea Tree range. It’s such a great collection of products. I would love to know what you use in your routine? Is something like Tea Tree featured or do you use something else?

  1. I used to work for The Body Shop and the Tea Tree range is one of their overall best sellers! I use the anti-imperfection daily solution myself and absolutely swear by it for getting rid of blemishes and I also recently tried a sample of the new overnight mask too and loved it! Isn’t it such a fab range!? Don’t think I’ve ever found anything as effective!

    1. Yuupp, definitely agree with you here! Can’t believe how great it is oohh, I haven’t tried the overnight mask yet, I think I might pop in and ask for a sample then! I definitely haven’t found anything else as effective!

  2. Tea tree products are very good for skin. You can also try aloe vera, I know some people that find it helpful. I know some of my friends purchase an actual aloe vera plant and then use the juice coming from its leaves. Don’t know if it’s any good myself so don’t quote me on that, but you could always give it a try.

    1. Oohh! That’s great! Thank youu lovely, I’ve never thought to use Aloe Vera. I’ve seen it in Body Lotion before but never thought to us it, I think I’ll do some research on that!

  3. I absolutely love this range! I have used the Squeaky-Clean Scrub for the longest time and the Daily Solution is amazing as well. I do use other products too since I have dry skin but these have definitely helped to keep my blemishes at bay :)x
