Here we go, it is the end of the month and a lot has happened this month that I can not wait to share with you today. I can’t believe how quick October has gone, it feels like yesterday where I was writing September Favourites. Before I realised it, it is the beginning of November, which means my 22 Birthday is now in sight. October has truly been a good month for me and my family, a lot has happened to make my life a lot better.
I have loved October and here are my Favourites;
As you know me and the partner have recently moved to Aylesbury, meaning we have been on the search for different places that we normally go to in Plymouth. One on our list this month was a dessert place after Yasmine asked if I fancied ice-cream, at eight o’clock on a Sunday night! Just our luck there is a dessert place in Aylesbury, so far in October, we’ve been to The Works twice for a dessert date night, which I’ve loved! They have amazing waffles, crepes and sundaes, every night we’ve gone, I’ve had something different.
The best news to happen to me this month, I was accepted for a full-time job! Which is brilliant after months searching for a job since I moved to Aylesbury. I am soo glad to have received this opportunity, I am now an Account Executive for 4CM a B2B marketing, digital and PR agency in Milton Keynes. I was over the moon when I found out, I lost count of how many job applications I’ve applied for and interviews I’ve had. I am really happy with my job and everyone in the office has been brilliant! They are all so friendly and helpful which is brilliant after I’ve never done this before.
One thing that I seem to have been waiting for forever is my graduation! I have finally graduated from the University of St Mark & St John with a Second Upper Class in Journalism. I’ve been waiting for this since I finished in May, it’s crazy that I’ve had to wait this long. It was also a great way to see people from my course, that I haven’t seen since finishing. It was lovely to have a catch up with them as well as my lecturers, letting them know about the good news with me and a job. It was a lovely day as I spent it with my mum, dad and partner, Yasmine.
With coming down to Plymouth for my graduation, I’ve been able to see a lot of people who I haven’t seen in a while, as well as going new places! I was able to meet some of the Plymouth Bloggers over brunch at the Rock Salt Cafe. I’ve wanted to go brunch with them for a while but I’ve always missed the date! Luckily with this month’s poll, the weekend of my graduation was voted the most. Meaning I was finally able to go to brunch and meet some amazing bloggers. Even though I’m four hours away now, it was still nice to be invited.
It was lovely to meet them all and seeing some faces I haven’t seen in a while. I’ve never been to the Cafe before and I don’t know why because it was amazing! I definitely wish I could go back, the meal sizes were perfect for the prices and there was soo much to chose from, it took me a little while! It was nice to chat with people like myself, who love blogging, everyone was really friendly and understood when you had to move everything to get the right photo for Instagram. Hopefully, I’ll be able to meet more bloggers, especially people close to me in Aylesbury.
I couldn’t come to Plymouth and not see the Poppy Wave, which can currently be found at the Plymouth Naval Memorial on Plymouth Hoe. I’ve wanted to visit this memorial since it arrived in Plymouth after I left, it means a lot to me and it is a perfect way to remember those who have served our country. Each poppy represents a life lost on the battlefield for the First World War. Without them, our world might just be a different place! Also, it means a lot to the city and I am very proud to be a Plymouthian,
I recently reviewed the Vanilla Pumpkin range from The Body Shop, I’m not going to go into too much detail about this because you can hear all about it in my review, but I just wanted to say that this has been my go-to product this month. From their Hand Cream to their Body Butter and Shower Gel, it leaves me feeling amazing and I didn’t realise how well Vanilla and Pumpkin would go together! It’s a very autumnal range and I’m soo glad The Body Shop has brought this range out.
Last but not least Halloween! Halloween is one of my favourite times of the year, I love all the cute decorations and watching semi-scary films! As you know, I am part of the Blogger Book Nook and this month the theme was Spooktacular. Meaning we reflected on scary books and movies. You’ll know from this I don’t like scary stuff! So for Halloween, I’ve watched The Haunted Mansion, Shaun of the Dead and The Lost Boys. Yasmine and I have also carved our own pumpkins, the first time with him in the four years we’ve been together!
There we go! There are my October Favourites, I am really excited for November as my Birthday and Christmas is creeping closer. Before we know it, it is going to be the New Year and 2018 will be here, it’s a crazy feeling, isn’t it. I swear a year is no longer twelve months as it goes so quick.
I hope you have enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments what you’ve been loving this month, I would love to know!

Oooh you can’t beat an irresistible dessert place! I have recently been introduced to an amazing dessert place in Leicester called Heavenly Desserts and it more than lives up to its name! I love it there! The Poppy Wave looks absolutely stunning, a fitting tribute to those who have given so much for us! I’m glad that you’ve had such a positive month and that your birthday is coming up soon! How exciting!
